I found out about this product at work in a commercial kitchen. They chose to store their knives in a drawer and every single knife had a Agilux Blade Guard on it. Kept them clean and the blades from being damage. Performance can't be beat. The guard snaps on securely enough that I feel comfortable putting my chefs knife into a backpack to transport. Very versatile. That’s why it’s a little bigger, but it feels solid and has a good hold on the knife. I use it with a breaker knife for fish with lots of bones and it feels real safe in my backpack.

*edited review* I finally managed to fully peel the sticker off! Fortunately there isn't much residue left from it, and it looks very clean. After a few days of using this, i will say it takes a little time to get used to knowing how to open it. But other than that, the product itself seems VERY secure and safe. I feel much better knowing that the old flimsy sheath i used to have might not accidentally come off in my bag and slice my hand open whenever i try to grab something out of my work bag. My knife doesn't budge in this thing - it holds tight, my knife handle that's sticking out doesn't even move - not even in the slightest. I highly recommend this product and I'm happy that the outcome was better than i first thought it might be! The only thing i would say is i wish it came in solid black, instead of just clear or grey. But color obviously isn't a big deal -not in the slightest, when compared to functionality and safety. It is a little bulky, but it's worth it just to know my knife is safe and secure, and that i won't accidentally injure myself on the blade when it's not in use. ... show more
