Purchased the “wood/black” style. We have a black and wood industrial flavor going on in a small home gym, with Ikea Fjallbo stuff. As a point of reference, the wood part of these pendant lights is quite dark in color. In a room that isn’t bright it could easily be confused for black, noticing the texture later. INSTALL Electrical hookup very simple. easy to adjust length of wire that the pendant hangs on. I shortened it to just a few inches and could just coil all the excess inside the round ceiling base, no need to cut shorter and strip leads. Only issue I had was that my electrical boxes are not totally flush with the ceiling, but inset just a quarter inch or so, roughly. So the included screws that go through the bracket and face down could not quite reach through far enough for the nut caps to actually thread onto them. Luckily I had some slightly longer ones on-hand. QUALITY The build quality appears nice, and despite the mesh sheath being quite thin metal, the packaging was robust protection enough. However, even with that, on each of the lights it was easy to see up close that there is some minor speckles along the top corner where the “wood” finish chipped off, revealing shiny metal. Minor enough that I didn’t feel the need to do anything, from typical viewing angles/distances I didn’t find it offensive. But be warned, there is a little clear sticker on that part of each fixture indicating max wattage etc, which if you peel off, take it slow and easy because it likes to also try to take this wood finish off and leave more silver. I imagine it could be touched up with marker. This would be my only real complaint. BULBS The bulbs you see in the photo are “Liii&ARTMAN LED Light Bulb T12 T38 6W 7.3inch E26 Base Matt Opal Porcelain Warm White 2700K CRI95 400LM (3-Pack)”. They have a thinner and thicker model, the larger 1.5in diameter is perfect size for this fixture. It’s an even, warm light, but not very bright. Fine for my case, but if you are looking for strong illumination, a more typical exposed filament LED bulb would surely be brighter. Once installed, you do have a little bit of flexibility with angling the bulb inside to center it. PRO TIP On one of these lights, the mesh sheath half had a lot more resistance trying to thread on, and I found that it started to spin the “wood” side of the thread part. I know that doesn’t sound like it makes sense but if this happens to you, just notice that the top part that clamps the wire is part of this same piece going through the “wood” so you can put a rag around a set of channel locks and hold it up there to thread it on. ... show more

The light itself is beautiful. Installation is a nightmare, sadly. The instructions are good, but the screws you get with the item don't fit all the holes--we had to run to the hardware store to get longer ones. It’s a good for over kitchen sink etc. And the crystal looks nice once it lights up. OFC, this is an LED bulb, so once it burns out, you're SOL. But until then it is enjoyable. Overall, would recommend this if you've a professional electrician come install it at your house. If you're not handy like me, might want to stay away from this one. ... show more
