This pump seems to be better than the last few pumps I have bought, all of which were Delavan 7800 Series Diaphragm Pumps. This pump has not plugged up like the other ones did, I just hope it lasts longer that the Delavan 7800 Series Diaphragm Pumps I bought in the past.

It's a real good pump - flow & pressure is real good. Mine needs to be primed - but pumps well once fluid is introduced. I bought it recently thru Amazon. Pump was real EZ to install - the 3 stars result from my frustrations with breaking and trying to locally find the hose adapters. The pump includes easily removable hose adapters for different size hoses. However, only one of each adapter is included and I needed two of the same size to get the pump operational. Seems these adapters are unique to the pump and can't be found at a normal hardware store. I finally located the pump and parts at Tractor Supply. So, I bought the last package left that had the second adapter I needed and everything was fine. Then one adapter broke. I now had to search for the adapter at at other Tractor Supply locations and finally found the parts about 18 miles from home. The adapters come in a pack with one of three different sizes and at Tractor Supply cost $5 or $6 for the pack. They seem the be a weak link in the pump - mine was subject to some lateral pulling which caused it to snap off at the end of the hose. I operate the pump located between a 30 gallon tank on a trailer and a long hose I use to spray pre-emergent on yards. Because of the adapter situation, I will probably carry an extra adapter and secure the hose to the trailer near the pump to avoid stress to the pump from the hose being pulled. ... show more
