    • One Year Later, Still Great!
Color: Espresso Size: Full
I've had this for nearly a year now. Absolutely love this; it has gone through one move with me as well. I did have help for the assembly, but it was mainly because I am a very small woman, and there were a large number of boxes. A good friend of mine was able to put together the whole thing in about an hour, with only a power drill because he wanted to be fast. We did note that the back board holes were a little off, but the drill took care of that. Once assembled, it actually is fairly easy to just slide around wherever I need it. I did need help to lift one edge at a time to get it on a rug though. I am 5'3" and sleep on it just fine. This is the bed that I sleep on every night. I have had two friends sleep on it for a week without any issues. I like the space saving of this, as I put away my bed to open up the floor for exercise, or to have space to put down a small coffee table and cushions for entertaining. I will note, hilariously, there is a handprint in the varnish in the interior. The outlet works just fine, I have my alarm clock and a charger on it. Update: do note that the mattress is very hard to rotate/flip, since it's very tempting to not move it at all. I would advise against this, and periodically remove the foam blocks from the cover to flip and switch around. I have noticed a sag and discoloration on one block. I am deciding whether or not to replace it or reach out for warranty, but wanted to let folks know to flip and rotate the blocks. ... show more

    • Serves Purpose Well - Craftmanship Good - Bad Paint Job
Color: White Size: Queen

I am actually pretty impressed by this piece of furniture. My husband assembled it in under an hour by himself, so it was easy to put together for a handy person. The mattress seems like it will be comfortable enough for guests to sleep on without them wanting to over stay their welcome, hah! The only thing I'm disappointed about is the crappy paint job. They maybe sprayed one layer of paint on the exterior of the cabinet in a dusty shop so there are paint goobers and chips and on the entire piece. This isn't super noticeable if you're jogging by it briskly, but unfortunately our office is too small to jog. I wish they would have at least sent a touch-up pen. I have contacted the company, we'll see how we fair there. The freight company that delivered ours was great. They called the day before it arrived and the entire item, which consisted of three very large boxes was shipped on a wooden pallet and wrapped well. There wasn't one hole or scratch in the packaging when it arrived. (Thanks Diamond Line Delivery Systems!) Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a Murphy bed on the affordable side, in a chest type configuration, this is a great buy. ... show more

    • Over two years and still satisfied
Color: White Size: Queen
I live in a very small studio apartment so space is extremely limited. I wanted something that would last longer than the several pull out sofa beds I've gone through. I was hesitant to spend so much but it was worth it. As many people have said, it arrives in a few boxes and they are VERY heavy. Have them brought directly into your home if possible. I had to maneuver mine from my walkway but I managed. Unlike others, I didn't not notice any obvious imperfections or breaks. I was also not missing any hardware and did not need anything but what was provided to assemble. I put it together alone and, though it did take a long time, I did not have any difficulties. I have had this for over two years now and I do not regret the purchase one bit. It is still in very good working condition and the exterior has only a few scratches despite being traversed by my cat on a regular basis. I've seen a few people commenting on the strength of the slats so a word on that. I live in a very small studio. When unfolded, the only way through the room is to go over the bed. I literally WALK across the top of this bed several times a night. For reference, I am almost 6 feet tall and over 200lbs. My slats are still in perfect condition. I would 100% recommend this product. The one complaint I have is that the drawers are very difficult to pull out on any sort of carpet. I have tile floor but I did have a very thin rug underneath at one point. It was such a struggle to pull the drawers out fully that I just ditched the rug completely. ... show more

Love my new Murphy bed! After all of the reviews I was worried that it would be all beat up and hard to put together, but to my surprise it was very easy to build and it looks fabulous! It took 2 hours to put together from start to finish, which is better than any ikea product I’ve ever purchased. There were no scratches or dings in the wood. So I’m giving this product 5 stars. There was one thing that I would improve on, the lid, when it’s folded up it is difficult to lift to close. It needs handles. Other than that I love it! ... show more

    • Concealed Damage. No Response from Company!
Color: Grey Size: Queen

In theory, it's a great product. The item arrived in 3 large boxes. The base with the drawer came in one box, another box for the top portion which had to be assembled, and the mattress. I unpacked everything. Looked great. Discovered the dowel pins were missing. Trying calling and the answering service let me know that they'd be in touch within 10 days(?????). I went and bought pins that I could find and cut them to length. Got it put together and went to pull the draw our fully (I pulled it out partially during assembly with no issue). When I went to push it back in it got stuck so I pulled it back out to find one drawer glide separated with ball bearings falling out. Then noticed the drawer bottom was broke. As you see in the picture I was able to push it back into place. I've emailed the company no less than 3 times. Left several messages with their answering service. Tried Amazon and nothing. I can return it but trying to get it back into the boxes is beyond a job. Amazon has offered a partial refund but I'm not sure what that would be. I've even told them, I'd fix it if they sent a slide but still no response. I like to give companies the opportunity to make it right and have but now I'm not sure what to do. UPDATE: The company never responded. Amazon gave us the option to return for a refund (I have no idea how that would work because it is several hundred pounds and would get destroyed). or take a 25% refund to keep it. I found more damage, all six slides have to be replaced and a bracket has to be bent back in place. I think this may be easier than trying to lug it downstairs or disassemble and try to ship back. ... show more

    • 2 hours of assembly required and nearly 1400$
Color: White Size: Queen
The bed arrived on time, but in 3 huge awkward and hard to handle boxes. Nothing was damaged in the delivery process, but the product had light scuffing from rubbing on packaging material, which sticks out like a sore thumb on the white surface. Some of the finishes are clearly hastily done, and item is obviously mass produced on a budget. It took 2 people 2 hours to assemble! Which we feel was totally unexpected, and unacceptable for a nearly 1400$ piece of furniture. (There is a reason we don’t shop at Ikea.) The wood is real wood, but the hardware is about as cheap as it gets. For example the screws that attach the pull handles barely extended through the wood far enough to catch threads on the handles. Some light tooling was required, and the supplied washers could not be used in some cases because the hardware supplied was too short. Also the mountain of garbage and packing material left after assembly is larger than the item itself. On a positive note the mattress appears to be of good quality, and the hinges and drawer slides move smoothly. A single person can easily transition to and from bed mode in under a minute. ... show more

    • Perfect Fit!
Color: White Size: Queen
I read a lot of reviews and was very nervous about getting this item. I was worried about delivery, moving it, having it come in defective and how will I return it. Worried about the sturdiness and was it worth the money...after all this is an expensive item. But, to our wonderful surprise, it came in 3 boxes brought in by 2 delivery men. We put it together in @ 3/4 hours because we took our time reading the directions, making sure everything was there and FOLLOWING the directions. The wood is rubber so it's heavy but both my husband and I could carry the pieces. It's very durable. Once we added the mattress that was vacuumed sealed..wow very comfortable. I can't wait to have my guests over so I can WOW them with this great piece. ... show more

    • Great product and love how compact it is!
Color: Espresso Size: Queen
Recently converted my 7 year old daughter’s old bedroom into my full time office (due to working from home permanently now) and didn’t want to loose the queen bed for guests and didn’t want Murphy bed that attaches to the wall. This version is compact, looks great and is a really comfy mattress for being so compact. Subtracted one star for somewhat vague directions and many “extra” parts that made me second guess myself. ... show more
