I love this daybed. I have it with a bolster across the back and people always compliment me on it -- three guests have slept on it so far. Only potential negative is that the slats are supposed to nail in (everythint comes for that), which would make moving inconvenient, so i instead pit down thin velcro command strips-- works great! Very sturdy, probably should construct with two people but I did it fine on my own (with some annoyance due to gravity). I have myself slept on it about 20 times when my a/c was off (it is in the cooler room) -- very comfortable. ... show more

First off it comes in two boxes, I opened them both to show how nice it's packed. I assembled it myself, I used a bench and a pillow to hold it up while I put the back and one side together, then I did the other side. I then put the front rail on and then the back. Here's where I ran into a problem, on one side the rail wouldn't mount because the screws wouldn't go in. The screws were the proper size (M8 x 1.25 thread pitch). The one bracket was drilled and tapped M8 x 1.00 thread pitch. So I took the bracket off the side arm and ran a tap of M8 x 1.25 thread pitch through both holes and mounted it back onto the side arm. It worked perfectly. After that I mounted the slats. It comes with screws to mount the slats. So before you assemble one, check to make sure the screws go all the way through by hand. Very easy to assemble! Technically I made my teenagers do it, but less than an hour later it was done. Multiple people have sat on it at a time and found it comfortable and sturdy. Considering what a sofa costs these days I found it a great value for the money! I added a twin mat with the 8 inch height and some throw pillows. It does arrive in 2 big boxes. The back of the bed (the long piece) is in one box with the base boards in it. And the other box contains the two sides with the slats. The slats were strapped together in 2 sets but still needed to be screwed into the bed. All in all we are happy with it ... show more

This daybed is being used in my living room. My husband is having trouble with stairs and I didn't want a regular bed in my living room. It was shipped in 2 boxes and packed very carefully. Nice quality wood and easy to assemble. The only problem I could find, is a 39" twin mattress doesn't fit...it is 2-3" larger than the daybed; even though the measurements on the bed say 39" wide.
