  • Worth the money.
Before installing this intake, I had no prior engine modification experience. The install took about 1 hour so it wasnt much of a big deal really. The biggest thing we had trouble with was the actual names for all the parts associated with everything. Like I said, I had no prior engine knowledge, so at the time, I didnt know the terms for everything. A little googling came a long way and made the proccess much easier when trying to figure out what the parts were. As far as the performance, I can say, the car performs and sounds pretty awesome now due to the increased induction. I did a Magnaflow dual exhaust conversion a few months ago as well so it really sounds good paired with it and eliminated a lot of my drone. To the previous person who said "If you want to gain hp/mpg, this intake isnt for you" you are definitely wrong. I've gained at least 3mpg by using this intake over stock and my throttle response is much more immediate. I cant say I can feel a huge power difference, but there is definitely a difference over stock. ... show more

  • ... on my 2014 Honda Accord LX perfectly and very easy to install
Fit on my 2014 Honda Accord LX perfectly and very easy to install. Take about 5-20 minutes to install if you know your car pretty well and 20-40 minutes to install if you don't. The pictures in the manual is not that clear. I suggest you download the manual from AFE website to view the pictures better. Read the instructions before you start taking things apart. Does it really increase HP and MPG? Most people into intake will tell you so. This is how I feel when I drive my car with this intake and it is opinionated and not based on fact ... and it is based on my 25 miles commute to work daily. 1. If you are into a better sound and better throttle response, then this intake is for you. It will give you better throttle response and easily reach beyond 5K RPM effortless. The sound is really good at 3K RPM and beyond. I don't feel like I gain 9HP as advertised. Maybe somewhere between 1-9HP in the morning and loosing 1-9HP in the afternoon as I live in Texas (105F). Like I said these number are opinionated and based on how I feel while driving my car, not based on fact. 2. If you into gaining MPG and HP, this intake is not for you. All driving condition are the same for stock intake and Takeda intake. I lost 2-4 MPG vs stock intake. In the morning for my commute, I would get 36-38 MPG on my stock intake and 32-36 MPG on Takeda intake. In the afternoon, I would get 34-36 MPG on stock intake and 30-34 MPG on Takeda intake. I noticed or feel like I gain a little bit power in the morning and loose more power in the afternoon vs stock. For those of you that live in cooler area and looking for increasing HP, then this intake is for you. If you look into gaining MPG, I recommend stay with stock intake and air filter. Do not put in K&N filter or after market intake as you will loose MPG. K&N filter and after market intake will give you a better throttle response feeling and you can't help yourself to step on the gas paddle hard. the more you step on your gas paddle, the more gas it will take... very obvious. I haven't try to heat shield the tube yet and I don't think the heat blocker come with the Takeda intake really blocking hot heat away from the air filter. I will try to apply heat shield and mod the heat blocker to see if I get any better response in the afternoon commute. I will update review later after I do the mod. ... show more

  • Sounds aggressive and loud. MPG goes down but worth it
The media could not be loaded. If you're thinking about making your car louder and a bit faster this is the way to go. MPG does go down since the intake pulls more air. More air, more fuel so this also changes your Air Fuel Ratio (AFR). If it's not the recommended vehicle you will get a check engine light and need a tune. This intake growls at 3.5k rpm and 3k in sport mode. Anything higher than 4k rpm is extremely loud and even shakes your windows. You can hear the throttle and air getting pulled in. Sound is absolutely amazing. I recommend 100% ... show more

  • Sound & Performance are incredible!!
Installed this on my 13 accord sport (AT). I took me about a good hour to install with taking my time. I'm no mechanic so I relied very much on the instructions included, which were very helpful. Taking out the battery does make things easier. Very pleased with results, thing really growls at about 3000 rpm especially if in sport mode. I have noticed a power increase, very noticeable when in "S" gear or using paddle shifters. Couldn't be more happier with the purchase! ... show more

  • Easy upgrade
Installed this intake on my 2013 Accord Sport 6MT, and it growls when hitting 3500 rpm. It only took me 20 minutes to install everything. The instructions is really simple and easy to follow, and recommend disconnecting the battery before installing. Overall, its a cheap way to upgrade, adding a few horsepower. ... show more

  • Sounds good
Works great in my 4 banger Accord. Really brought the engine to life. It's peppy now! I love the sound when you lean on the gas.
