Description

Style:Oiled, 5-Layer Filter This cold air intake system produced 13 max horsepower, 17lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 37%. Included in this cold air intake system is a 18 gauge powder-coated heat shield and a massive 8" tall, radial flow, oiled aFe Power Pro 5R filter. The air filter uses a unique patent pending flange retention design that allows the filter to be securely mounted to the heat shield without any hardware. A huge 1-piece mandrel bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube maximizes air velocity providing maximum performance and throttle response. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling. Filter Flange Retention Design: The air filter uses a unique patent pending flange retention design that requires no hardware to mount the filter to the heat shield to provide a quick hassle-free installation with minimal hardware. Huge 1-piece Intake Tube: A large mandrel-bent intake tube is used to smoothly direct the increased air flow into the engine for maximum performance. 8" Tall 360 Degree Air Filter: A massive 8" air filter is used for maximum flow and performance filtration. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. Hassle-Free Installation: aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations.

So a CAI is gonna give you marginal performance/mpg boosts at best, where it really performs is with looks and sound! At idle and low RPM it's not very noticeable, but over 4000rpm and at full throttle, it seriously ROARS! It scared the crap out of my wife the first time I floored it. Arrived very well packaged. Overall seems to be very well built with high quality materials. A few steps in the instructions were a little unclear but it is still a very easy installation to figure out. I really have no complaints. My v6 challenger now has a nice aggressive growl when you really step on it (5-7k rpm). Can't say much about power difference as I haven't dyno'ed it. ... show more

Great product!! Arrived quickly and was easy to assemble.. I'm borderline retarded when it comes to working on cars but I was able to install this intake quickly and properly.. As mentioned some of the instructions are unclear but once you start putting it on, you begin to understand. Installed on a 2013 300s with a 6 cil VVT. Perfect fit. Awesome sound @ medium and high RPM's. But 2 days after installing the check engine light went on. Cleared the codes but it came back on. Maybe is a MAF sensor issue. Gas mileage is worse also. Installing stock again.

This is easily the best modification I have done to my 2013 Dodge charger. The sound that the engine now produces is a very nice growl especially when you're at higher rpm's. The horsepower boost that I got was very noticeable, and I'm still doing some more research to see if I received any mpg changes. At first I didn't know what cai to get, then I did some research and found out that the person who created aFe used to work for k&n. That's when I decided to go with the aFe cai. The sound and power is noticeable. It's still not a hemi but I have taken off on a couple of camaros and rustangs. Definitely would recommend this to anyone!!! GET IT!!! lol ... show more
