I’m a fan of Aesop products and this shampoo doesn’t disappoint when it comes to performance—cleans well, doesn’t dry my hair out, and feels like a step above your average bottle on the shelf. That said, the scent has a strong licorice (anise) note that’s a bit much for me. It’s not bad, just a little overpowering compared to some of their other, more balanced fragrances. THIS IS NOT AESOP SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER. It’s not even the right color. It smells like menthol and feels cheap like Suave or something. Bought as a Mother’s Day gift to myself. What the fork did I just put in my hair?! Disgusted.
