  • Aerogarden junkie here- you'll be a green thumb in no time!
Color: Stainless Steel Size: Harvest Elite
I'm not new to Aerogardens...ever since my hubby bought me one years ago for my birthday I've been completely hooked. I have a bit of a collection but this was my first of the new model Harvest and I love it. I got it specifically for the new Microgreens kit because I didn't want to tie up a Bounty and the kit wasn't compatible with my other gardens (old models and a Harvest Elite Slim). For context, gardening is not my thing. I'm terrible at it- the only plants I've managed to keep alive are snake plants and even those have come close to dying. My Aerogardens though are a whole different story- it actually makes gardening FUN for me with much less mess than digging in dirt, dealing with pests, animals, etc. If you're just getting started with Aerogardens, this is the perfect size (6 slots) and the stainless finish looks like a fancy kitchen appliance. I love the lighted digital menu making it much easier to read and set than previous models. Keep in mind that this one is not wifi compatible (at least that I can find). You can plant lettuce, herbs, flowers, and now even microgreens. I don't recommend tomatoes or peppers in this garden though- they will quickly overtake it. If that's your thing then definitely look into a Bounty that can accommodate the height and the spread. If you're on the fence about trying Aerogardens or even gifting one, this one is a great choice that will keep going and going. These are especially great for folks who live in areas that they can't have a garden or they may want fresh herbs/veggies that won't grow certain times of year. I have had nearly zero problems with any of my Aerogardens going on several years now. A few tips that seem to work for me: - I'm bad about reading directions but definitely read them if you're not familiar. They will save you a lot of missteps and frustration. - Between starting new gardens, I do a deep clean of everything. Just a handwashing with dish soap and rinsed very, very well. - Keep them watered (but don't overwater). These are hydroponic plants- if they run out of water they seem to die almost instantly and it will be next to impossible to revive (in my experience) - Feed the gardens on the recommended schedule - Keep your plants pruned and under control, this will help them stay healthier, fuller, and contained where they should be in the garden and not causing problems with other plants. - Definitely look into spacers (they're available on Amazon). They're recommended for tomatoes and peppers but I've found them really helpful for large herbs like basil so it has more room to grow. - Replace the filters in the water basins periodically. They last a long time but after a while they degrade, rip, etc. I'm a major Aerogarden devotee and don't think I could (or can) garden any other way. I've grown countless gardens at this point including peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, microgreens, cucumbers, basil, chives, sage, cilantro, oregano, you name it. There is nothing better than your own fresh greens! ... show more

  • Easy, Stylish, and Effective Indoor Gardening!
Color: Platinum Size: Harvest Elite Slim
The AeroGarden Harvest Elite Slim is an absolute game-changer for indoor gardening! Its hydroponic system makes growing herbs and small plants easy and mess-free, even if you don’t have a green thumb. I love that it holds up to 6 pods, so I can grow a variety of herbs like basil, parsley, and mint all at once. The LED grow light is highly efficient and ensures my plants get the light they need, even in rooms with limited sunlight. It’s compact yet stylish, and the platinum finish looks sleek on my kitchen counter, blending in beautifully with my décor. The slim design is perfect for smaller spaces too. The included herb kit is a great starter, and within a few weeks, my herbs were sprouting and growing rapidly. The system is simple to set up and maintain, with helpful reminders for adding water and plant food. If you’re looking for a hassle-free, efficient, and stylish way to grow fresh herbs or small plants indoors, the AeroGarden Harvest Elite Slim is a fantastic option. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves fresh ingredients but lacks the outdoor space for gardening. ... show more

  • Hydroponic Virgin no more
Color: Stainless Steel Size: Harvest Elite
I am biased where this product is concerned. Seed germination in the depths of Winter, transferred into pots indoors to develop, then hardened off to replenish Toni's Herb Garden! Works to get a jump on veggies too! My erstwhile work colleague (Jim) bought into it and created a hydroponic system with a chest of drawers as base structure, plastic plumbing, a suitably scaled pump to circulate the water plus liquid fertilizer, and let it roll! Too big of a scale for my needs, but proof of principle for sure! ... show more

  • Suits my purpose, may not suit yours
Color: Stainless Steel Size: Harvest Elite
I had an off-brand six pod hydroponic grow system that would not turn back on after a power outage. It had six Alpine strawberry plants that are maybe a month to 6 weeks old growing in it. I had that unit for probably two years before I actually used it, so there is no way it was under warranty. My shopping criteria for a replacement product came down to number of holes (at least 6), size (will it fit where the other one was?), price, and how fast it could be delivered. The plants had water (but no pump to circulate it) but only the light from a basement window several feet away. AeroGarden had been out of my price range before, but this unit was reduced to $56. Reading other comments, it might be clearance pricing. The grow pods had a sell by date of October 2024. I bought this in July 2025. Don't buy this for the pods unless/until the AeroGarden business stabilizes. I am knocking on star off for this, because it's an advertised feature of the kit. I pushed the plugs out of the baskets, threw away the plugs, and set the baskets and domes aside for later. I have some extra plugs from my other system and used my own seeds originally, so I can always do it myself again in the future. As an aside on the seeds they chose for the gourmet herb collection, they are not good choices to grow in this size unit unless you prune religiously. I have basil and dill in containers on my deck and they are both at least 3 feet tall (they bolted, and I let them, because they are pretty in bloom). The height of this grow light means you need SHORT plants for this, or you need to be cutting a lot. Oregano and thyme should be fine. My parsley outside has grown really slowly, so I have no idea how tall it should get. When the package arrived, shipped in the product box with no outer box, the lid wasn't secured shut. If there is a user manual that comes to tell you how to set up the clock and plant cycle, it must have fallen out. It isn't hard to set it up, though. The buttons are touch rather than press, so I had to adjust a bit to how it behaved. I got it set correctly on my second try, so it's doable. There is a stater guide for using the seed pods in the seed pod box. I am glad this came with a bottle of plant food. I was using AeroGarden food in my previous unit. I tossed a few seeds into a container outside the same time I started them in the hydroponics system, and my outdoor plants are growing super slowly, even with fertilization. The hydroponic plants using the AeroGarden plant food are much larger. It could be environmental as well as fertilizer, as Alpine strawberries may not appreciate the 90+ degree weather we've had while they are trying to establish themselves (I didn't plant with care and knew I planted way too late for outdoor germination), but either way, the plant food that comes with this kit works, so I am happy to have a second bottle of it! When I set this up, I filled the water, added plant food, and put the plants/plugs/basket/sticker assembly from my old unit right into this new one. The baskets fit imperfectly but well enough that there won't be any light getting into the water. The picture I attached is right after I moved my plants. The light is not at its lowest position, but should be if you are just starting from seed. Compared to my other unit, this has a better design. The light extending to the edges of the base means plants aren't all growing towards the center. My previous model was round with a smaller lamp. I think the plants will each have more space with the AeroGarden design, even though I doubt there will be enough space for all 6 of my plants by the time they start to flower. I think the 4 corner spots will be fine based on Alpine strawberry growth habits. Note that most strawberries are not well suited for this kind of system for two reasons. Alpine strawberries have a decent seed germination rate, but other strawberry plants propagate best by sending out runners and can be hard to grow from seed. Alpine strawberries also do fine at indoor temperatures. Other strawberries need warmer temperatures to produce good fruit. They are different species, not just different varietals. Make sure you shop carefully! Get this if you just want the system. Maybe shop more if the seed pods are important. Herb seeds are cheap and replacement pods are not hard to find, but that will increase total cost. It might be worth it if this is still discounted well. ... show more
