I bought this looking for a quiet alternative to avoid noise complaints from my neighbors, but it was a huge disappointment. 1. Poor Accuracy: Since there are no physical pads, you have to drum in the air. The positional sensing is highly inaccurate, making it incredibly frustrated to hit the right drum or cymbal consistently. 2. Noticeable Lag: Timing is everything in drumming, but there is a slight delay between the swing and the actual sound. This audio lag completely ruins the rhythm and makes practicing impossible. Verdict: If you are buying this just for noise control, don't bother. It's more of an unreliable toy than a practice tool. I'd rather not play at all than deal with this stress. Highly do not recommend.

Really impressed with the PocketDrum 2 MAX. It’s super quiet and takes almost no space, which is perfect for apartment living. The response feels smooth with very little delay, and the different drum sounds are fun to switch between. I also like how portable it is — easy to use at home, in the car, or while traveling. Great option for beginners or anyone who wants to practice drums without a full drum set.

These are fun for what they’re designed to be. The main downside is that they lose calibration all the time. Recalibrating is quick and easy, though, so it’s more of a mild annoyance than a major issue. That is the main reason I’m giving them 4 stars. They’ve always worked when I use headphones, but when I connect them to a speaker, they only work about half the time. I’m not sure what’s causing that. I haven’t had any durability issues so far, but I do wonder how well they’ll hold up if they’re dropped repeatedly over time. I bought mine on sale for $130, and at that price I’m happy with the purchase. I would recommend waiting for a sale rather than paying full price. One feature I’d really like to see is a companion app that visually displays the drum kit and shows which drums are being hit in real time. That would add a lot to the experience. As it stands, the included poster is basically useless.

My daughter loved it. And it’s so much better than hearing a normal set or the space that it takes. Works surprisingly well and I would say it is a good valley for the money and super easy to assemble.

It's kind of fun but the fun ends quickly. The mobile app doesn't work well and the drum sticks will randomly sound like a cymbal or a tom when you haven't moved you position to hit that tom or cymbal. There is a slight time delay which is very annoying when trying to play along to music. For a child or someone who has never played real drums and is interested maybe this would be good for them, but if you are a real drummer with limited options, such as myself, you're better just getting an electric set or sticking to practice pads. Aeroband is a good idea but the execution needs a lot more work.

I expected there to be some lag with an air drum set, but I was surprised to find that the Bluetooth adapter and pedals on this electronic drum set work together seamlessly, with extremely fast response times! The variety of sounds covers everything from jazz to rock, and the sound quality is rich and full. The best feature is the USB MIDI functionality—just plug it into your computer and it becomes a MIDI controller, making music composition and recording incredibly convenient. Put on the included headphones for an immersive experience that feels just like sitting at a real drum kit.
