  • Very good scooter for big/tall guy
Style: A230
I'm not a small guy (over 6'4 feet and nearly 250 lbs) and I feel like a kid riding this thing. Rides & glides very smooth and has a slight suspension which makes for a smooth ride over sidewalks and slightly uneven terrain. Built solid. Disc brake works pretty well. Folds down and unfolds positively and easily. I'm really happy with it, and can ride around with my kid, or even run quick errands in my neighborhood. The first person I showed it to thought it was an electric scooter. If I had two bits of feedback: 1. the footbed is slightly too short, my shoes are size US 14+ and I find it hard to get both feet comfortably on the platform, they really feel jammed on there. If it was a little longer it would be much more comfortable having both feet on there. 2. Ride height: you can't go over a 1" concrete bump without the bottom shock absorber (which lives underneath the footbed) getting caught on it. I wish the wheels were a little taller or the ride height a little taller so that you could clear those kinds of bumps more easily. (granted you have to be careful going over a 1" bump, gotta pop up and lean back, and go at sufficient speed anyway, otherwise you can get thrown). ... show more

  • Very nice scooter
Style: A180
Bought this scooter for my son for Christmas. He enjoyed riding it. The scooter was already assembled just needed to click some things in place. Very convenient to take around especially when you are going to the park. I recommend this scooter if you are looking for a gift for your kids.

  • Like a durable product
Style: A230
We just played around with this scooter (A230) for a while, and like it a lot. Installation instruction is not exactly the same as expected, but assembly is simple and intuitive. It's a little tricky to adjust the height of the handle - you need loosen the screw on the upper section on the front side to slide up the handle bar. Compared with our other scooters basically just for kids to have fun, this is kinda serious transportation equipment. Here are what I like: 1) Suspension- can absorb the small pumps on the road and save my leg. 2) Hand brake- makes the scooter more stylish, and more convenient and maybe safer than the foot brake alone in many cases. 3) Folding mechanism- looks very durable and solid. 4) Little and sturdy stand- very useful. The package box looks very nice, ideal as a gift for teenage kids. My only question is the hand brake pads - I assume the brake pads are changeable before they are worn out. I will update my review to see how everything is going. ... show more

  • Solid, simple commuting scooter
Style: A230
Bought this scooter to help with the 1/2 mile walk from my car to the office and it's done me justice - it helps me get to work on time! Rode it all summer and didn't have any serious wipeouts - I just spun out one time while going downhill and into a turn a little too fast - I just had to step off and run it out to prevent a bad fall. I work on a college campus in a small town - there's a lot of uneven pavement and obstacles. I feel in control having the hand break and foot break, plus the higher clearance gets me over uneven pavement without any issue. It's easy to steer through thin paths on garbage days or when theres lots of people. It can be a little dicey on slick or wet surfaces. We just got into rainy season in Oregon and so far I've been able to ride it in the rain. It kicks up some water, but isn't too bad and there's enough traction to cruise at a comfy speed on wet pavement. Going uphill isn't ideal, but it's doable - the high clearance makes it a tad harder I think. Wish there was a fender in the front to keep my shins a little drier - I think my bike kicked up similar goop though, even with fenders. I think it keeps my feet drier than walking. I wish it had a strap for carrying and the holder for folding the handlebars isn't the best, the handles will pop out of it so I don't fold them in anymore. The button for locking/unlocking the folding mechanism also rattles when I ride, it was annoying at first. Other than that, this thing is solid, it's even withstood some tumbles in the backseat of my car. It's easy to fold/unfold and fits in my cube at work, I hardly notice it! ... show more
