The first unit I ordered was delivered on its side and repacked in a larger Amazon box with no additional packing. The OEM box is clearly labeled with this side up, fragile, etc. The packaging seemed good and there is a sticker on the unit that says if the unit was delivered on its side to upright and let stand for 6 hours before powering on and using. I did that but the unit was pretty loud. Compressor and vibration noises. I contacted the company and they responded right away. They had me check a couple things then quickly sent a replacement. The replacement delivered by Amazon arrived upside down this time... I let the unit sit upright for about 8 hours before powering up again. Luckily, this one works great. It's really quiet and does an awesome job in my basement maintaining the humidity. I have a large basement that had a mold remediation done recently. The basement has an unfinished utility room with a crawl space and a finished side that includes a bathroom and bar. I like to move the unit between the bar area and the unfinished side occasionally. The caster wheels don't roll over the carpet very well, but it's easy enough to pick it up and carry. The tank is easy to remove and has a nice handle on it. The controls are easy to use. It looks and feels well built! The humidity sensor seems to be pretty accurate and matches up well with my separate Wifi humidity sensors that I have put in the basement. I've been using the unit for a couple of weeks and would recommend it to anyone. Their customer service was awesome too!

If you're looking for one of the most efficient dehumidifiers on the market backed by truly exceptional customer service, look no further than Aeocky. About a year ago, I purchased two of these units—one for each level of our home—and they've been running for 7–8 months at a time with virtually no interruption. They pull the humidity down quickly, often within just a few hours, and then maintain the desired level effortlessly. They've been quiet, reliable, and incredibly effective. Recently, one of the units developed what I believed to be a faulty sensor. I'm pretty handy, so my first thought was simply to buy the replacement part and repair it myself. After searching online without success, I contacted Aeocky through Amazon with one simple question: "Can I purchase the sensor?" Within just a few hours, a customer service representative responded with a few troubleshooting steps to confirm my diagnosis. After I sent a couple of photos and answered a few questions, they agreed the sensor had failed. Amazing product. The industrial design is clean, with intuitive controls and readouts. It runs relatively quietly (no dehumidifier is that quiet due to the requirement to run a fan at a high speed to work effectively), and it works extremely well. I was cleaning carpeting that had pet mess, so I had to use the saturation method down through to the pad. This thing went into that room and reduced the humidity from 69% down to 42% overnight. I was amazed at all the water I was dumping out of its catch basin (which is a good size). One thing to note for performance is that you need to leave it standing upright in your house for at least 12 hours prior to first use. It doesn't matter how it arrived at your house (upright or on its side). Leaving a dehumidifier upright for 12 to 24 hours prior to first use allows the internal compressor oil and refrigerant to settle back into their proper positions. During shipping or transportation, the unit may have been tilted, causing the lubricant meant for the compressor to splash into the cooling coils. Using it in this state will damage the unit and shorten its lifespan.

Really removes lots of water! I run it in my 1,500 sq ft unfinished basement during the summer here in the Northeast US and it will lower the humidity level well below 50%. It is also very quiet compared to other brands I have used. I have it hooked up to a garden hose using the included connector and let it drain into my sump pit so the sump pump removes the water. I turn it on in the spring and never have to touch it until I turn it off in the fall. Unfortunately this unit failed after a year, so I emailed customer service, who responded in less than a day. They asked me to unplug it and then restart it and tell them how much water was collected over 6 hours (which was basically nothing), then press a couple of buttons to send them the code, which I did. After that, they sent me a brand new unit which arrived in about 5 days! One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I'll be a loyal AEOCKY customer going forward.

Just received this and so far seems to be working fine. It is very quiet==not much louder then a regular fan. Super easy to move on tile--a little more difficult on carpet but still easy. The tank is small and I needed to empty it twice a day. It is very easy to remove tank and empty it. The air intake is on the side along with the drain plug. When your looking at the picture--it is on the opposite side of the energy star logo. It will turn off totally when desired humidity level is reached. I wish it went down to 30% vs only to 40%. I would like bathroom area to have lower humidity and also have it shut off by itself. Obviously it gives off some heat but not as much as I thought. Really didn't make that much difference in our bedroom and master bathroom. I am very pleased with the heat output and noise and those were the 2 main things I was concerned about since we live in TX and extra heat in the house in summer is not wise. I have no way of testing the energy consumption and that was another huge concern of mine. We had this running in our bedroom the first night and it didn't make any more noise then our ceiling fan and our other fan. I have a really old dehumidifier and it sounds like a freight train that works really well but gives off a tremendous amount of heat. I will probably need another one for the front part of house but will see how this one works first.

This is a great unit. It's quiet and efficient. We have it in our finished basement that is approximately 900 square feet and because it's summer and humid, I empty the container twice a day. Also, the customer service is excellent. For some reason, after about 9 months (we did not use it in the winter for about 4 months) it stopped working. My husband emailed the company (found the address online as he could not find the instructions) and they answered quickly. They asked to do certain steps to reset and take pictures of the panel and determined it needed replaced. They kept in constant contact via email and sent us a new unit which is again, doing a great job. We are unexpectedly very happy with the customer service!

I bought this a year ago and it worked great the first summer. It's quiet and seems to be efficient, keeping the finished basement room at the set level of humidity. My only complaint is that the water tank is a bit small and tight, not real easy to remove, and will fill up daily. It does come with a hose connecter if you have access to a drain. When plugging it in the 2nd summer, after having been unplugged all winter, it didn't work. The fan and display worked, but it didn't pull any water out of the room. I let it run figuring it might be too cold yet, but when it got to be June, I felt it was time to contact support. I emailed support describing the issue and they responded within 24 hours as promised. They asked for and I provided proof of purchase, serial#, etc. They then provided a list of steps to follow and requested sending some pictures of the display after the tests. Each email was responded to within 24 hours. Support then said the unit was defective and sent a replacement. I received that within a week, hooked it up and it has been working as expected since. I definitely would recommend Aeocky based on the quality of their support after purchase.

Moved into a new house with a humid basement. Looked at several models and settled on this one. There are some reviews about the variance in humidity from the on-unit gauge versus a standalone, which I've also encountered to some extent. However, considering that I'm not manufacturing semiconductors, this is perfect for my basement. After a couple of days, I found the humidity fluctuates between 46% - 55%, which is way better than what it was and significantly more comfortable. Also, the unit comes with a drain hose that terminates quite nicely in the sump pump, so no bucket emptying. I've got it set where it runs continuously and the fan noise is minimal. No issues whatsoever after two weeks.
