  • Decent cover for the price, 8ft walls make this stand out from competitors. Grade: A solid B.
Color: White
I am comparing this to the $200 Coverpro 10x17 carport sold at Harbor Freight. I needed 8ft tall walls and this was the only one I could find. Unboxing it left me with a surprisingly good impression. Including white gloves to keep the galvanized coating from turning your hands grey was a nice touch. The instructions were brief but clear. All parts are nicely marked. I would have preferred the metal parts to be wrapped in paper but I can accept that they were plastic wrapped. Posts are stronger and the way they clip together makes this much easier to assemble than HF. For the price I feel they could have been painted. I like the cross bracing. The feet are metal, but seem very flimsy. They are also not square so each one is at a slight angle, but it is not a complementary angle to the legs. I.e. when attached they have a tilt lengthwise to the 20ft side instead of a tilt in the same plane as the 10ft side. The only problem I experienced is that one curved top attachment is bent quite a bit more than the others, so that leg goes straight down instead of angled out like the rest. I would have preferred the leg extensions to attach with regular nuts rather than wing nuts. The top seems decent enough though I can see light through stitching holes here and there so it's likely to let in some tiny amounts of water. I really wish it was a thicker cover. Where the corner strips connect to the holes near the bottom of the legs, it attaches with a plastic hook attached to an elastic piece that I don't expect to last long. I would have preferred the HF setup where there is a channel in the top that a ratchet strap strip is threaded through from one side to the other and ratchet ends that connect to the legs. This would ensure it is held on and kept taut regardless of the health of the elastic attached strip or the elastic ball straps. I would have also liked to have seen a second layer of fabric around each eyelet...I noticed one eyelet is already pulling out a little bit. This could have been avoided if the ratchet strap design was implemented to stretch the cover taut and even first. The instructions were pretty clear. I did attach a couple of elastic ball straps right away because it was a little windy and the cover didn't want to stay in place when first attaching the legs. I was at first confused because the instructions said "Use the elastic ball straps to tighten roof cover and doors together." Yet, none of those grommets line up. I tried but it required full strength to stretch them far enough to work and really just put too much strain on the grommets. Luckily they include 110 elastic ball straps which is more than enough to do them separately. The doors and sides do line up so they share a single elastic ball strap for those grommet pairs. All in all, I like it. A more rugged roof with more robust attachment at the base of the legs would have made this feel like a better value. The zippers on the doors are much smaller than the heavy zippers on the HF top. I am also going to connect a pvc pipe at the door bottoms to make them easier to roll up. ... show more

  • Really Great Product
Color: Beige
I love your carport tent. It could use some mesh windows but it's super durable and everything one needs. Im turning mine into an outdoor gym. I just forgot to strap it down during a storm in the fall/winter here in Washington state but it rolled a few times and got caught on a tree and fence. Bent a few legs but otherwise wasn't damaged. Really sturdy!! Just bent all 4 legs on one side but then I flipped it back up and put the stakes and strings and stakes in it, and it was fine all winter long. Thanks for an awesome sturdy carport tent. Thanks Jesse P.S. How do I contact the manufacturer and order 4 new legs for my carport?? Thanks for your time. ... show more

  • Mixed impression so far
Color: Beige
I put this up myself in a couple hours, the spring clips definitely make this easier than just friction fit. Tube walls seems very thin to me (and not 1.2mm, but I haven't put a caliper on it). I bought several lengths of electrical conduit to add bracing to the frame, and that stuff looks thicker than the included poles. Not unexpectedly, the small bolts provided to attach the feet, pole extensions and cross bracing are garbage. They striped out with minimal effort. I replaced them all with grade 5 hardware from a local "agricultural implement" supply - $15 bucks well spent. I haven't put up the tarp yet, but have a second recycled billboard to serve as a second tarp layer. No review of any of these tent garages has anything good to say about the longevity of the tarps. With the feet fastened to 4x4 timbers and cross bracing on 3 walls. the frame is pleasantly stiff. The included bracing is nice, but nowhere near sufficient (and I did not expect it to be). My recommendation after reading dozens of reviews of many different manufacturers' products is to view these structures as very temporary, or as a platform that you should plan to build out with the expected lifespan matching the amount of increased effort put into building it. I'll update as I see how this first winter goes - I'm in the N.E. US. Update 12/11/21 - We've had 2 serious wind storms (50+ mph) since I got this garage all the way up and fully braced (August 2021) (including corner to corner 1/8 wire bracing tensioned with turnbuckles) After the first storm I was delighted that everything was fine. After the second, at the first of December, my garage had lifted wholesale (literally) off my truck with 6 4x4 post/bases attached and landed on its side. Remarkably, only my side mirror was scratched with no other damage to my truck. I can't speak to the original construction of this garage since I added so much reinforcement, but I'll share my lessons learned. I had staked each side down with 2, 2ft rebar stakes. These were insufficient, despite a couple hundred pounds of wood also weighing things down. Also. I left the door open. My overall build held up fine the first major windstorm but the second storm lifted the whole structure into the air, likely due to a different direction in the wind that swept inside (and under). I was able to right things, and will need to replace about 1/2 the vertical posts that were badly kinked, but lesson learned and I hope to get several years out of this once I weigh and stake it down better. Pic of the aftermath added (I had already worked to straighten things a bit at this point. ... show more

  • Great product and great customer service
Color: White
I have had this 10x20 for one year now for my boat it has been a lifesaver keeping my boat out of the harsh element of the florida sun and rain , posts are tap con to concrete , and it stands up to many wind storms no problem , For the price of this product not one person should be giving bad reviews with your stupid pictures of it being on uneven dirt and expecting it to withstand blizzard storms , you need to have some common sense that it needs to be anchored down , or tied down to 5 gallon buckets of concrete on level surface . For me I feel if you get 2-3 years out of it saved you thousands of dollars if Your were to pay storage garage and it’s in your back yard , costs 200.00 a month for 10x20 storage garage . It bought me time to put up a real pole barn , now using it for mower ,etc. i would by product again from this company , they have great customer service reply faster than any other companies on Amazon !! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more
