The bike arrived yesterday and the hardest part of assembling it was removing the bike from the box. I was able to put it together, with no experience, in about two hours. The bike came with a tool kit and tire pump, but I used my own. Would have taken considerably longer without power tools. The only issue I had was with one of the brake sensors. I had to back off the adjustment pretty far before it shut off and allowed the motor to run. Maybe bleed that brake a little to remove the pressure? I don't know yet. Will get expert advice before messing with hydraulics. The frame is beefy, welds look very good. Fenders are solid, lights and reflectors are good. The rear rack is almost necessary for manhandling this beast. Brakes performance is good. This bike is big and heavy. It's like driving a truck instead of a car. Turning radius is pretty bad. But that motor makes up for the weight. The battery fits snugly into the bike, but the charging cable feels delicate. I would have liked a firmer connection. The controller sits in a little cubby between the pedals. No need to look in there, everything came connected. First ride was a little shaky. I weigh just over 300lbs, and with the bike and heavy battery we're getting close to 400lbs. I was worried about bogging the motor down. No worries any longer. This bike is powerful! Between the size and weight I have to adjust to launching this thing from a standstill. Then that big hub motor kicks in; be ready a burst of assistance. Be gentle with the throttle, it has a lot of torque. First ride I dumped it. Immediately went out and bought a helmet, came home and tried again. Was confident within the first mile or so. I was able to ride several miles without fatigue. Seat is comfy, too. I have no desire to find out how fast it will go. Pedal assist 1 tops out at 10mph, pedal assist 2 at 14. That's fast enough for this old guy. No hills in my area, so I can't comment on that. No word on battery life, but there's no way I'm getting 68 miles with my weight and fitness. I'll be satisfied with 20. I couldn't be happier with the quality and accessories. $300 shipping was a bite in the behind. All in all, though, a great value.

I have been looking at ebikes for about three years. Most people think ebikes are for city use however I live in the suburbs. There are more and more of these bikes popping up in my area every day I purchased this bike for a variety of reasons. First was price east power of the ebike and availability. I was going on a trip to the ocean. And I wanted to make sure the head this bike prior to going. It is a folding bike.... I put it in the back of our s u v, And my wife was not exactly excited about it Thinking it took up too much room. However, once that was then and everything else nicely packed around it, it actually worked out perfectly. This folding like assembled very quickly. The longest part was unpackaging it. It does weigh sixty six pounds after it is out of the box. I'm not sure how clear it was in the description but this bite came with, A phone holder and a chain lock. If you are looking for the kind with numbers that is not what they send, they send it with a key. So you get two keys for the e bike itself Then you get 2 additional keys, which are different from ebike keys. And that is for the chain. I would say that mirrors or something would be imperative. Because of the l c d screen that gives the miles per hour and a variety of other information on the left side, and then on the right side is the gear switch as well as the cellphone holder. So there really is not a place for mirrors. They do sell mirrors that go into the end of the handlebars however these Handlebars have more of a comfort fit and there's really no way to Fit a mirror in the end of the handlebar without making a huge mess of your actual comfort grip. I plan on buying a camera which I'll put on either the back of the seat or on the back of the rack just above the brake light. The lights work great, and they are very bright As well as the red light in the back, which is on when the headlight is on. It took a little getting used to, But it is awesome What I didn't realize was the pedal assist.. Originally, my hand was getting tired from holding on the throttle when I was going a decent distance However you do not need to do that once you arewriting And if you Start paddling you can take your hand right off of that throttle. Even if you stop peddling, your hand can still be off Is the throttle as each speed level only allows you to go so fast. Level one being the slowest and level five being the fastest. It states it goes thirty miles per hour. I have gotten it as fast as 26 miles per hour. I'm sure it can go faster. The battery life is amazing. They stated it takes about six hours to fully charge. I actually think I had a pair maybe five hours charging. I actually went on the vacation. I think I would do anything near where that battery would die. But I actually did about twenty one miles while on vacation. The screen does have riding time as well as trip mileage And of course total mileage ridden. I probably would have done more. But I wasn't sure how much battery life I had since I did not bring the charger with me. Not knowing the bike. I wasn't sure how much. I could actually write it when there were three bars left on the charger. When I say bars there is a Picture on the l c d screen that shows your battery life plus you can also push a button on the actual battery to let you know As well, but that doesn't tell you kind of where you're at, and just let you know you still have a charge left. If someone is afraid or nervous to ride on one of these based on the speed, just put it at level one, When you do that, you barely move. It's like getting on a regular bike and trying to get started. That literally is all it does for you in level one. This is something I absolutely would buy again. However I don't need to at this point. I highly recommend this. It is fun efficient, fast and awesome. I'm sure model R8 It's just as good however I bought model R8-V I am six foot 1 and 275 pounds. The seat goes plenty high enough. The model that I bought makes so much easier to get on and off. I am in my 50s, but personally it doesn't matter what age you are. It's just easier to get on and off while having the seat at the proper height . Is a helmet is required in most states. And there are laws for young adults in terms of age based under state as well.

3 Days in and Absolutely LOVING the R5 pro, SIMPLE to put together and very well built bike,solid top to bottom , even the nice detail on the sprocket that matches the shock cross bars looks awesome in person , plenty of power had to go up a few hills here by my house to wear the battery down for first full charge , and this thing handled them with no problem,all power no assist , it also comes with a super comfortable seat and has like a 2 inch air vent going through the seat, super cool!!! I did not put the rack on or the headlight and I got to 29 miles an hour and I weigh 160 pounds felt like I was flying,super sturdy no wobbles also has a super cool LCD display trip meter,odometer, speedometer,very impressed and highly recommend !!!!! It reminds me of the cross between a 125 cc dirtbike and a regular mountain bike except this thing can go anywhere legally and doesn’t have a big loud motor , like i said 3 days in and absolutely loving this bike and very impressed with the quality…

Had issues with shipping, but received the bike and after assembly the bike was well worth any setbacks, only but ten miles on it so far but the thing is a tank, never expected it to be this well built, very happy with the end result.

Bike came very well packaged and mostly assembled. Front tire, handlebars and a few accessories require installation with tools that are included. I purchased this in December and with a 50-degree day yesterday, I was able to take it out for about a 12-mile spin. The bike seems very sturdy, rides vary smoothly and soft over bumps in the trail. Pedal assist worked great up hills and against the wind making the ride very pleasant. Folding the bicycle helps a lot with storage and transportation. I will probably not get much more time on the bicycle until Spring, however the first ride was great.
