The quality of things you buy for the purpose of costuming is often a crap shoot. That's why I spend more time reading the reviews of costume products than I do of computers costing over a thousand dollars. You always have a recourse if the computer doesn't work right. If you are stuck with a shoddy costume item costing three dollars, no body cares. With this set, you get your money's worth. I was only interested in the hat, and I found that fit my relatively small head rather well. But, if you have a larger than 6 1/2 head, it may be a bit tight. Next to fitting is the ability of the hat to stand up straight, with only the slightest hint of a bend, here and there. This succeeds quite well, although I will not attest to whether it will hold that shape if you scrunch it down to store in a bag for any period. It needs "space" like on the top shelf of a tall closet, or perhaps on a peg on a clothes tree. ... show more

Purchased these accessories to use as props for a photo backdrop. The kit arrived earlier than I expected (I absolutely LOVE it when that happens). My sister and I (big head & little head) tried the hat & gloves on and determined that the fit was good for all sizes. We really like it because the shape stands up on its own. We wondered if it would be flimsy and not stand up but it did. The only recommendation I have for buyers is that you take it out of the package as soon as you get it and stuff the hat with tissue paper or something to fill it out. The fabric does not allow you to iron it and it comes pretty wrinkled. After having it stuffed for 2 days most of the wrinkles were straightened out. ... show more

What a great accessory kit! Everything in the kit (hat, gloves and red bow tie) seem to be made of high-quality materials. The hat is not droopy at all and I don't think it will end up pilling as the felt hats do. It was comfortable enough that I wore it all day. Of course, it's impossible to work in the gloves but they are quick and easy to slip on so it wasn't a struggle to take them off and put them back on. I did not like the feeling of the bow tie elastic so I simply used safety pins to pin on the bow. Excellent product for my purpose! ... show more

I like the Cat in the Hat accessory kit. All of the items fit, the previous reviews aided in this purchase. The hat was a little wrinkled but I stuffed it until I was ready to wear it and it was ok. There were still a few wrinkles but it was ok, no big deal. I have small hands so the gloves fit because of the elastic band and it wasn't an issue. The necktie fit as expected, just Velcro around the neck. Overall, it was a hit, everyone loved the look; I recommend the purchase! ... show more

Everything is definitely costume store quality.. the hat absolutely does not stand up on its own, and we’ve had a really hard time keeping it on our Cat for Seussical Jr. The items work fine and for the price it’s all good- but don’t expect the hat to stand on its own.
