I've had this product for over a year and it's really good at cooling large areas. The thing you have to put out the window is a little cumbersome, but it worked out for me. I elevated it because of the drainage. It drained a lot better when it was elevated. I used it just for cooling but the way it cools. I'm sure the other settings work just as well! I really like that it's easy to use and it works really well. I did put a fan in front of it. Just to circulate the air a little more. Because I was in a room with no insulation ... show more

    • Worth every penny!
I bought this thinking it was going to have to run 24/7. Boy was I wrong! It cools off really well and once your room hits the set temp it goes into sleep mode until the room goes above the temp again. It works better that my window a/c. The set up is super easy but be aware it is not light. So if your going up some steps get help!!! I will definitely be getting another one! ... show more

    • Noise level is higher than the spec
Overall noise level is the most important fact when I buy a portable AC or window AC for a small bedroom. Had Panasonic window AC unit before and it was very quiet (42db ?). This one is measured at 58db in sleep mode and 60db+ at normal cooling. Without the AC running, the room noise level is around 25db. I guess it is the design as you can see there is an actual very small cold air outlet opening in the front and cold air is highly concentrated from that small outlet. That's probably the reason why it is noisy. Compressor makes no noise at all. Have not tried other top selling brands yet but if any cold air outlet is small, it mostly will make load air blow noise. Good thing about it is pretty efficient to bring down the temperate, slim window kits, reasonable price. If you don't care the noise level too much or the room is not that quiet. this might be a good fit for you. ... show more

    • Power Button stopped after 3 months
****Revising my Review*** The On/Off Power Button has stopped working after less than 3 months. Cannot turn the unit on or off, thankfully its on & I have to unplug it to turn it off. Not what I expected after spending the money, something to last only a couple of months. Very unhappy....Not as simple set up...the hose connection to both the window went and adapter was difficult, the hose did not want to cooperate and was incredibly frustrating. I did not have that problem with my mom's unit (different brand) it was easy and hooked up quickly and easily. So far after one night the cooling is good, and not noisy (my opinion, I did sleep with 4 fans on so am used to a little noise) and so far so good on cooling. We shall see how it goes down the road! ... show more

    • Phenomenal product
I absolutely love this thing. My home office is in the finished attack of our home and the AC from downstairs just doesn't make it up to the second floor. Fans just weren't cutting it, so I bought this. The upstairs is now nice and cool and the unit was really easy to put together and get running. The remote is convenient and I love the feature that oscillates the air around the room. There's a digital readout so you know what temperature you're setting and it doesn't cost a lot to keep the thing running most of the time. Keep in mind to pay attention to how much space this is meant to cool and you should be fine picking it up. With the low ceilings I have upstairs, it does a great job but in a larger room, like a big open floorplan living room, it may not keep you as comfortable as you'd like. Really though, I feel it lives up to the seller's description and even exceeds expectations by a bit. Stay cool y'all. ... show more

The product itself is fine and works great, but I randomly got a phone call from the company checking in on how the product is doing. It feels like a weird breach of privacy for them to use your customer information to call you. I assume once you say the product is working well, they'll also ask for a review, which is why I'm now writing a 3 star review. I live in a Brick house, and in the summer, the 2 front bed rooms get alot of the heat and my AC is working overtime to keep the house cool, so this was a great option to keep the rooms cool.
