The media could not be loaded. This JCWPVA Adjustable Wheelchair Foot Straps for Leg Supports is a GREAT way to keep your loved ones’ feet on the wheelchair foot rest. When my mother was alive we would transport her in a wheelchair. Her feet would constantly slide off and because she had Alzheimers she did not understand to keep her feet on the leg rests. 😢 This is an amazing invention that solves the problem. These foot leg supports get attached to the leg rests with an attached strap and a velcro strap, they go in opposing directions. The foot area measures 8.5 inches in length but there is an area for the back of a shoe and the total length is 10 inches. The width is 6 inches. The velcro strap that attaches to the wheelchair foot rest is 18.5 inches and there is a sufficient amount of velcro to ensure a proper fit onto the foot rest. The top of the support opens completely and both top velcro closures measure 7.2 inches. I currently have a wheelchair in our apartment that I am giving away. The leg rest on this wheelchair is one piece, and not the 2 pieces that come with most wheelchairs. Even with one leg rest I was able to alter and secure the foot supports. It would definitely be better suited for 2 separate leg rests but it worked and it was easy to install. I tried these foot rests on both me and my husband. He wears a size 11 and although there was a sufficient amount of velcro support at the top it looked like it was far less for him than for me. But he was comfortable and did not feel the strap at the top of his ankle. The strap on me was definitely placed in a lower position on my foot. It was comfortable and my feet felt secure. I included a video to show how secure my feet were. If the wheelchair actually had 2 leg rests it would be even more supportive. I think these leg rests are GREAT! They are definitely needed cause many in wheelchairs have their feet slide off of the leg rests. 🤦🏻♀️. This solves the problem. 4 1/2 stars!
