Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this dumbbell set, but I ended up loving it way more than I thought I would. I got the 20lb version since I’m just starting out, and honestly, it’s perfect for what I need. I travel and live in my RV, so space is always at a premium. This set basically replaced like three different sets of weights for me. Switching between dumbbells, a barbell, and even a makeshift kettlebell is way easier than I expected. I actually don’t mind the extra few seconds it takes to screw on the plates. It gives me a little breather between sets anyway. It feels sturdy and the handles are comfortable, even when I’m sweaty. For the price, it’s kind of a no-brainer. If you’re on the fence, honestly, just go for it.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great supplemental set of weights to keep in a dedicated space for a quick series of moves to just warm up some muscles or do some muscle-endurance training without having to travel to the gym. It's compact and build for versatility. It would also serve well as something for young one to get an at-home supervised introduction to weightlifting. The conversion between dumbbells and kettlebell is simple and quick. The conversion between either of those and a barbell is a little-more involved but still simple. The kettlebell feature is by far my favorite. The material is durable and the patterned-plate surface aid in gripping and holding the weights during changes or using them as an extra weight while doing crunches. The threaded end-locks fit just right to keep the plates secure while also having enough give to allow it to whirl on or off quickly (as my one-handed video attempts to show). The BB, DB and KB handle grips are comfortable. The barbell neck guard is a bit stiff, so that all depends on your liking. There's a pair of very low-end lifting gloves and wrist bands that add little value.

This set is okay. It is a little confusing that it does not come with any instructions, and the off-gassing was very very bad, but it is generally pretty easy to use. I don't love that the discs need to be put onto both short bars to then be put onto the long bar to reach the full weight of the set, but it isn't too bad to do every time. The kettlebell attachment is a nice addition. I feel like there is a part or two missing in the box that I got from what I see in the photos, but it doesn't make it unusable. The value doesn't seem fabulous to me, but I also know that adjustable weights can be pricey, so compare the costs on your own and make your best judgment!
