Let me be clear, these gloves are not perfect. But they are my favorite! This is my third pair in three years. They are not the most durible. But what I like about them is they fit tightly and have no excess padding. They simply protect your skin from the rough grip on barbells, dumbbells and cable accessories. I have harbinger gloves and nike gloves and they are much more expensive, and yes, are decent gloves. However they have too much padding for my liking. NOTE: These run small. I have M/L hands and XL is the rigth fit, if just a tad too tight until worn in a bit. ... show more

After testing them specifically with dumbbell workouts, several limitations became apparent. The gloves provide basic palm protection, but the grip feels less secure compared to leather alternatives. The synthetic materials used, while lightweight, don't inspire confidence during heavy lifting sessions. There's a noticeable difference in durability and feel when compared to leather gloves. One potential advantage is their breathability, as the lightweight construction allows for decent airflow. However, this comes at the cost of durability and protection. The padding, while present, doesn't provide the same level of comfort and support that you'd find in higher-end leather options. These gloves fit perfectly and provide excellent palm protection. The grip is great for weightlifting, and they feel very breathable during workouts. Quality is typical for Adidas – top-notch!

    • The best gloves out there, but only on day one

I work out every other day, and gloves really help avoid skin related abrasions while also eliminating small amounts of discomfort gripping some of the metal knurled handles. I've tried several brands and find these to be about the best to satisfy the desired improvements without being bulky and getting in the way. That being said, these gloves deteriorate rapidly. And the deterioration is everywhere, the padding wears completely through, the thumb rips open, etc. On average, I need to replace them at least once per month. After 15 workouts, they are consistently at the point of complete failure. I've tried the big name gloves, and they just don't compare. However they are far more durable. The functional advantages of these gloves keeps me buying them over and over again. Incidentally, the size large is perfect for my hands, though my hands are on the small size. I suspect that the sizing is based on ladies sizes. If you are male, I would suggest go at least one and probably two sizes bigger than you would expect. ... show more
