  • Guitar came as advertised
Guitar came as advertised. Guitar definitely showed signs of previous use. Start button is a little stiff. But again was advertised as such. Works perfectly. Price was great. Would buy again.

  • Not a game, its a guitar... And the tilt function doesn't work.
As I say in my title, the tilt function doesn't work. Everything else on the guitar is close to perfect (and still better than the guitar hero 4 guitars). If you have played with a rockband guitar before you know that the buttons are very loud and the strum bar is silent... I don't know why they do it opposite of guitar hero but they do, frankly I'd like a silent everything, because a loud strum-bar is annoying and the clicking buttons are very annoying during quiet songs. If you are good/great at rockband, you may want to somehow consider another guitar? The tilt function being broken (which I hear is a common problem) is really annoying when you haven't missed a not in a song and you want to use overdrive, the only way to activate it is to hit the "select" button which causes me to mess up sometimes if I'm playing a song that has constant strumming. Since the guitar is wired, it has no need for batteries which is a good thing, it's also very responsive. Like I said, the only issue with this guitar is the tilt function not working, I can't vouch for the problem on PS3 rockband guitars (because I have one for that system as well and it works fin) but I have heard that a lot of the rockband guitars do have this issue. ... show more

  • Multiple Faulty Features
To begin with, I will say that this item is great. I've used several of my friends', and I love the original Rock Band guitar and its wired feature. However, the item I ordered from Amazon is not great. I was very excited to receive it in the mail, which did come much quicker than I could have hoped for. I appreciate that. Shortly after playing the guitar through a song or two, I saw that the guitar didn't kick into Overdrive nearly as easily as the others I had played. Usually a swing of the guitar upwards initiates Overdrive immediately, but I had to hold the guitar up at that odd angle for fifteen to twenty seconds, and even that didn't necessarily work. If not, my attempts looked like I was doing stretching exercises in preparation for a track meet. This wasn't too bothersome at first, but once I ranked up into higher difficulties of songs, this fault became a serious problem, causing me to make many mistakes that I would not have otherwise. I realized that it would be impossible for me to earn many of the Rock Band Xbox achievements, which was honestly my main reason for buying the game. Not only is Overdrive almost impossibly difficult, but my friend discovered that the strum bar is pretty faulty also as far as moving it upwards. I don't strum upwards, but it was very annoying to my friend, who relies on playing this way. I will admit it makes using the menu quite bothersome. Overall, I'm disappointed in the performance of this Amazon product. I haven't decided if I'll follow the typical Amazon refund process, but if I do I won't get a full refund. My only consolation is that I bought the guitar for a cheap price in comparison to the others I have seen. ... show more

  • Good Quality
Product arrived early and was protected well in its packaging, but the yellow key on the guitar is slightly sticky and can cause a slight issue while playing.

  • great game... good product
the guitar came very quickly after i ordered it. it requires some assembly that takes of about 12 seconds. i bought this for my nephews and they have a blast playing rock band but the guitar itself has a few problems. i bought the wired because i have had a few bad experiences with wireless (guitar hero)controllers. so i figured I'd go retro and but the good old fashion wired one for Rockband. the USB connection can be very very picky about being in the perfect position when connected to my Xbox 360. you have to sit down right in front of the Xbox and fiddle with the USB port on the guitar for up to 10 mins before you can play. I've gotten very good at getting it to work fairly quickly now but in hind-sight i wish i would have spent the little extra money and bought the wireless one. ... show more

  • Decent
I bought a used wired rock band guitar for my Xbox 360 because my brothers, sisters, and I totally used up the wireless ones that came with Rock Band 2. I should have spent the extra money to just get a new one. The product was sent to me without the dongle (the part used to connect the end of the wire on the control to the USB port on the Xbox) so I had to buy one from Amazon. Also, I should have bought a Rock Band 2 controller because you can't flick the controller up to use star power, which was a lot to get used to for me. Also, with buying a used product, sometimes the keys don't really work. I suggest to anyone looking for a new Rock Band guitar, just get a new one. ... show more

  • Very nice guitar
It's a very good controller. It's a beautiful guitar controller, looking a lot like the real Fender Stratocaster, just a bit smaller and lighter, of course. But wait: don't compare it to a true guitar - it's still a kind of toy, made of plastic and not rare wood and steel as the real thing. Anyway, it has a good construction quality. One interesting characteristic is its usb cable splits in two separate parts: the shorter one, closer to Xbox usb port, is connected to the longer one by a kind of round connector. If the guitar is pulled too much far from the console, this round connector unplugs avoiding to have the Xbox being pulled in a probably fatal shut from any place it used to stay. Control buttons are quite precise, I saw no problems with them. ... show more
