I bought this dish for my Labrador who prefers to inhale rather than chew his food. It does slow down eating but the dish is too small for a bigger dog. The dish holds a maximum of two cups and the second cup needs to be poured carefully or it will slip over the sides. It would help if the sides were higher or the ridges deeper. I used to have a gobble stopper which worked better but the dogs lift it out of the dish. ... show more

I love this bowl. However, there’s a couple things that I wished that would’ve definitely make this bowl even better. 1) it’s shallow. Although it’s pretty wide, I noticed that my dog’s food would easily spill more as he tries to work around the slow feeder. 2) there is no grip in the bottom. I wished it came with some kind of rubber to prevent the bowl from slipping on the floor. I just did a DIY with some extra rubber grips that I was able to put for this bowl. I was concerned, after reading some reviews, that this would be too small for my 65 pound dog. Instead, it has just the right amount of space, with a bit to spare. One would think it's obviously not for an extra-large dog. It's solid and very attractive.
