Description

Install the Add-A-Motor Pet Door Motor on your doggie or cat door. If your door has a vertical sliding panel simply mount the motor above to automate the times you want the door opened or closed. No more unwanted guests popping in form forgetting to lock your pets door. With the included timer it automatically opens and closes the door panel on a time schedule you choose (Example: 8AM Open 9PM Close). Simply plug in your timer and it protects your your home while keeping your pet safe. The timer can easily be unplugged if you wanted to connect the motor directly to your smart outlet or home automation controller. The black dial on the motor adjusts how mush line the motor reels in and out for each operation. This means you can customize the desired height and depth settings for any size pet door. No counter-weight needed. Motor can lift and lower a door up to 10 pounds (Most door panels weigh under 1-2 pounds, XL Size door panels weigh up to 3-4 pounds). If your door swings open you can convert it to vertical lift by installing it in side- channels. Includes motor, timer, mounting hardware, AC-DC Adapter, lift-cable, and illustrated instructions. You decide what time your pet door opens and closes – thereafter it’s automatic! Sleep a little later, The D20 opens the door each morning allowing your pets out. If you arrive home late, gone on vacation, or simply forgot to lock the door relax because this motor will automatically close your door safely every night at the times you set. This motor opens and closes slowly (10-20 seconds for full open or close depending on the size of your door) while also making a slight "humm" to give your pets plenty of time to get out of the way of the closing door while also alerting them that it is closing. Installation take 15-30 minutes depending on the complexity of your door design.

  • Reliable motor, still going strong after 4 years of daily use
This is a great little motor and timer. I bought this set up 4 years ago for my chicken coop door. The door is an old cutting board set in a wooden track so it’s not too heavy. Both the motor and timer are still going strong, working in winter and summer without a hitch. Highly recommended.

  • This seller is great. They do everything they say they will do and more.
After extensive research, I purchased the “Add-A-Motor” door for my chicken house door. I decided on it because it looked like it would do a good job without a bunch of extra junk that I know would just a lot of extra headaches to sit up and keep working. I also don’t think the plastic door will keep predictors out and I like the timer and the back up options they suggested. I ordered my door and it took a lot longer for us to be ready to install it, than I planned. When I discovered I had a problem, when I went to install it, they took care of the problem immediately, even though it was after my 30 day time allowed for returns. I will be doing business with them again and I would recommend them to everyone who appreciates great customer service. Paula, Berryville Arkansas ... show more

  • Easy to install
The only problem I had was my door was already there and large. Using the measurements in the directions, I didn’t have enough braid to reach door. After a little measuring, I lowered the motor 12” and works great. Had to fiddle with the stop on the up side. Wouldn’t trip the lever. Seems ok now. UPDATE..on vac and family watching over property called and said door was in 1/2 open position. The stop on the up or raise side didn’t work again so chickens were in and out overnight. Luckily all survived. Dealing with Amazon to get a replacement sent to me. Other than this little glitch it works great. ... show more
