Bought a size one inch larger than RAV specs bc so many reviewers mentioned it was skimpy. Using it over my exterior-mounted spare tire AND the starting-to-rip spare tire cover, it's very loose. Hate to take off a star for my mistake, but I can't say I LOVE it. It did tend to smooth out after a few days and the extra material became less noticeable. Fits around the tire and tucks well into the underside. Material is surprisingly thick and pliable, seems well made. How it'll hold up in the Florida sun is to be determined. Finish is somewhat glossy & slightly-metallic, which matches my dull silver-grey bumpers. It does NOT have a mirror-finish like diamond plate, and the pattern is only faintly embossed. More like a brushed stainless steel finish, but more plastick-y than metallic. It doesn't look chintzy, even though it's unabashedly vinyl. I sent one of 2 ordered back. These are too small for 235/75/15" tires. I was able to use one for my spare after soaking in hot water and spraying tire w/ silicon.

Haven't had it long enough but so far this is the best tire cover at the boat ramp. One thing I really like is the drain slot at the bottom, that was a big problem with my last cover collecting water over time. Material is heavy enough but won't hold a stitch. Material is simply wrong for its purpose. Sizing was accurate, installed easily, looks are fine. Stitching started to tear out the first 100 miles. Waste of hard earned money.

Purchased 8/13/16 wanted to wait a few months to get a few trips in. First it helps to turn the cover inside out making sure the drain grommet is at the bottom for easier installation. The size ordered was a perfect fit. Over the Thanksgiving holiday on the central Oregon coast we had two days of extreme weather including gale force winds. The RV spare is on the back and in this instance faced the ocean. The cover stayed tightly in place took a beating and still looks like new. If a person makes sure to order the correct size and flip it inside out to place it on the tire it will go on fine as suggested earlier. ... show more
