  • Great stethoscope
Color: Iridescent Metallic Caribbean
I am an FNP graduate student. I have been an RN for 9+ years. I have always used an ADC stethoscope. They have a lifetime warranty on all parts. I've only had to use the warranty one time for my oldest stethoscope's earbuds which needed to be replaced. This is the best of all the stethoscopes from ADC that I have tried. It is heavy but compared to the "lite" version the cardiology stethoscope has FAR better sound. This one has the best sound of all my stethoscopes. I don't mind the heaviness for that sake alone. I also love that it comes with an exchangeable pediatric bell. The color and the quality are superb. I love this company. ... show more

  • All the bang for half the bucks.
Color: Navy
I had a Littmann Cardiology III stethoscope, and loved it. I have difficulty hearing soft noises, particularly over background noise. As you can imagine, this is not a happy trait for a paramedic. My Cardiology III "disappeared" recently, leaving me without a good 'scope. Having used ADC previously (ADC 615), I knew they made good products. I found the Adscope 601, and it looked like a Cardiology III in the pictures. One of the big selling points for me was that the 601 was about half the price of the Cardiology III. Once I got the 'scope, I found it to be virtually indistinguishable from the Cardiology III. The earpieces are the same, and seal nicely into my ears. The bell is nice and heavy, and I like the dual head, since I deal with a lot of kids. If anything, the tubing is even thicker and heavier than the Littmann. I can hear very well through it, just as well as I could with my Cardiology III. I've let several other medics and EMTs at work listen with it as well, and they all love it. If you're looking for a very solid, very good 'scope at lower cost, and brand recognition isn't that important to you, I'd go with this 'scope. If I could improve it, I may suggest making the tubing a little shorter. ... show more

  • Great Stethoscope and Great Value
Color: Black
This is a great stethoscope. As an ER nurse and FNP student I was really wanting to get some kind of cardiology stethoscope, and then I found the ADC convertible one. I have always used ADC as they are just as good, if not better, than Littmann. This thing can pick up such great sound, and the fact that your one stethoscope can work with pedi correctly and adults is great. I recommend this for students and seasons nurses/providers/physicians. All those at work that have used it have nothing but good things to say about it. I was skeptical when I purchased a $60.00 stethoscope due to Littmann being so expensive, but it worked out for me! Here are the pro's and con's as I see it. Pros: Convertible (pedi and adult bell), high quality materials, very sturdy, nice length - especially for guys and those who have broad shoulders. Great product. Great price, you can't beat it. Dual lumen tubing on the inside. Multiple frequency via the adult side. Cons: Although it isn't a huge problem, it is quite heavy. The convertible comes with it's down sides as you have to unscrew the pedi portion and screw on the cardiology bell. This is a great product and I truly recommend this for those who work with children and adults. ADC is a great and reliable brand and some of their products are better in my opinion, I do know they tend to last longer in my experience. ... show more

  • High quality stethoscope
Color: Black
I’m very impressed with this stethoscope. It’s got excellent sound quality, durable material, and large cardiac chest piece. I really like how I was able to register my stethoscope online. I can take comfort that if it ever needs a fix I can send it in and they will repair it or replace it for free. I don’t see any need to buy a crazy expensive Littman when this bad boy is half the price and just as good if not better. ... show more

  • Decent Alternative to Littman
Color: Black
My Littman cardiology III disappeared at work one day, so I had to look for a replacement. I was hesistant to try another brand, but decided to go out on a limb and see if another stethoscope would work for me. So far, I have not been disappointed. Sound quality seems very similar to the cardioloy III, however, I can only make a guess since I am relying on memory instead of a direct comparison to auscultation with both stehoscopes side by side. The build quality is pretty solid. Thirdly, the price point was reasonable at about half the price of the Littman. My only complaints are it is a bit on the heavy side, though my Littman was not necessarily a light weight stethoscope, and the ear buds have fallen off twice. The ear buds screw in, so a little tightening has seemed to fix that problem. I am a nurse who works in intensive care and appreciate a good stethoscope for my assessments. Lastly, I'll not forget the day a medical student needed to borrow a stethoscope and I handed him mine. After listening to the patient's chest, he turned to me and said "Wow, this is really good! Thanks a lot!" ... show more

  • This stethoscope is absolutely amazing!
Color: Burgundy
First off, I got pretty lucky and received the black steth by mistake which works out perfectly because that is the color I really wanted. I actually ordered the 49.99 burgundy one only because it was a huge 30 dollar difference from the 83 dollar black one. So I ended up getting the color I wanted at the cheapest price, so it was an absolute Win Win. Now to the important part.. This stethoscope is very well constructed. I have the Littmann cardiology III as well, and this stethoscope ranks equal in terms of the adult diaphragms, but the bell on this stethoscope blows the littmann out of the water. Now the Littmann is much lighter with better sound isolating ear buds so they win there. Littmanns are also known to last for 10 to 20 years if maintained correctly and I'm not sure on the longevity of adc steths. But just in comparison, this steth is very very impressive. Lower lobe breath sounds which are listened to posteriorly can be heard anteriorly as well with this stethoscope. Now obviously you don't do that in practice, but I'm just giving an example on how powerful this stethoscope is. Really satisfied, and getting the black one was icing on the cake. ... show more
