Using a raspberry pi 4 and a S8050 transistor I'm running 300mA through it in quick pulses and it works as well as the remote control my AC unit came with, at least distance wise, not beam width.     • Good performance
I'm using these with a PiZero and IR camera with good results. I Run them off +5 through 2 100 ohm 1/2 watt resistors in parallel to limit heat and provide 100 mA to the LED ( 5V/50 Ohm = 100 mA). Check the data sheet listed above. The beam is 20 degrees and worked well for my application.

The media could not be loaded. I use a transistor to amplified the signal with 3.71v and they run smoothly. I really love them!

Used these for a NV project. Wish these had a wider diffusion angle but they work as described and so far no duds or issues.

    • Very narrow angles
They are only Super Bright if you aim them directly. Otherwise, at an angle, they’re barely noticeable.
