I bought this to raise my Sony off of the base plate of my dji ronin-m so that it wouldn't be pressing on my lens. It works okay. It connects to the base plate very solidly, but doesn't have that tight of a grip on the camera. When the gimbal is on, I have no issues. When its off, if the camera so happens to turn either to the left or to the right, it will continue falling that way - it won't eventually stop itself.
