  • This laser is awesome and user friendly!
Color: S1-3500mW
Great machine for beginners! I have never used a laser before and this machine made it simple. It’s easy instructions made it simple to get started and use it to make some extra money. I have been using it for hat patches and then putting the patches on hats for people. They look really clean and professional. I wish I had gotten this sooner!! The speed is also good considering the quality of work it’s doing. It doesn’t take up much space at all just make sure to use proper eye protection and ventilation. You can engrave so many things and could easily make your money back in no time. I love this thing!! So many other things I want to try!! ... show more

  • Endless Things to Engrave
Color: S1-2500mw
I got this laser engraver just for fun and didn’t really expect much but after using it i really liked it. I first started practicing on a piece of wood until i felt like i got the hang of it. then i tried engraving my friend’s name on his ping pong paddle and surprisingly it worked really nice. it was very precise and it looked really cool. It took me a bit of time to fully understand how to use the software and to align it properly but once i did it was nice to see. ... show more

  • Cool, but lots of work.
Color: S1-3500mW
This is my third laser etcher, so while I have a little bit of experience, I'm not an expert yet. The other two pretty much worked right out of the box with Lightburn. This one... not so much. I got this because of the relatively large 130mmx130mm etching area, which is larger than anything I've used before. The unfortunate thing is that this sometimes loses all accuracy around the extreme edges; that's fine, I guess? I can keep stuff in a 120mmx1200mm area. At first, the laser was completely useless around square corners. It could not make a square edge anywhere on the engraving; I figured out that this is because the laser hangs down so low from the mechanism that it actually swings back and forth when it's asked to make an abrupt change in direction, like a pendulum. I tightened up the belts and bolts that hold the laser to the x-axis and this improved somewhat, but it still totally struggles along the righthand side of any engraving, distorting your image. I suppose that this can be remedied by building a platform to etch on, so the laser doesn't have to hang down so low... but we're already in territory that makes this less convenient than my Genmitsu. The fact that this is an open area with lots of moving parts makes it both more complicated and simple to build accessories to make this work. Getting Lightburn to recognize this required a few restarts; once I updated the software itself, and restarted again, it seemed to connect okay. One weird aspect is that there's a little switch held down with masking tape; I don't know what purpose this serves, but I removed it thinking it was just packaging material, and the switch released. When the laser returns to its home position, it compresses this switch; sometimes the computer will not recognize that the laser is connected until I manually decompress this switch by moving the laser module. I don't get it. I love the little magnetic laser shield. This is a fixed-length laser so you have to put a 2mm focusing 'sheet' under the laser to space it from the material you're etching, before loosening and tightening a bolt to keep the laser in place. Okay... but it's a very small focusing piece, it's easy to lose, and the unit provides no easy place to store it. I foresee a lot of problems with this. (For comparison, the Genmitsu has a little arm that swings down that measure distance, and then just snaps back into place out of the way; it's elegant as heck.) Any smoke just vents right through the top of the laser via a mini fan; unless you have a hood to contain this, you'll just be breathing it in. Other cutters have some kind of suction or filter, but I guess this is just what you get with an open module like this. It definitely makes this extremely lightweight, and it still feels solid despite this. I'm still messing around with this, and I haven't explored the more powerful laser yet since I mostly just work with paper (which this handles great), but it's just a little clunky. Unless you really need 130mm of etching space, or a more powerful laser, others work just a little better out of the box, and more consistently. I'm mostly just frustrated with a laser etcher making wobbly lines; this is a new phenomenon for me, but I think that this is definitely a machine for tinkerers. I bet you can get some great things out of this if you put some work into it. I'm not quite that patient. ... show more

  • Perfect laser engraver
Color: S1-3500mW
This machine is of amazing quality and value for your money. I wasn't 100% sure if it was going to work for what I wanted, but it exceeded my expectations. This laser engraver can engrave on just about anything including titanium, which was my intended use. Call me impressed about what this little machine is capable of doing. It's also easy to use and there is open-source software it's compatible with. The size matches the description, it's perfectly functional and looks great. I really really recommend this item. ... show more

  • Great for crafts
Color: S1-3500mW
Must have for anyone into crafts. The compact size allows it to go anywhere and cuts a variety of materials. This was easy to setup and get going with my first engraving. I was even able to cut some paper designs right away.

  • This is how every piece of tech should be
Color: S1-2500mw
I thought I was getting into a product that needed a lot of tinkering to work, and I was prepared. What I wasn't was how easy everything works, it's that simple, it just works. You tight a couple screws in, plug the cable, follow a few clear steps the boom, you have it printing. It took me about 20min to set everything up and start my first print. Just AMAZING. ... show more

  • Great for the money. Good for people getting into laser cutting
Color: S1-3500mW
This laser is great. Especially for the price. I was able to cut very intricate designs on the paper it came with. I tried a snow flake and I was super impressed. Set up was easy, you just have to take your time and try out the settings. Make sure you keep the instruction booklet handy. It tells you what settings you should use for different types of material. The laser did cut the wood like it says. Just be sure you in a well ventilated area. There will be smoke. Anyway, I'm super happy with this. Great price, and works. ... show more
