The media could not be loaded. I wanted a laser that would cut 6mm(1/4") hardwood. This laser does the job and then some. Super easy to set up. The build quality is fantastic, heavy custom aluminum extrusion frame, linear rails in all directions and a good belt tensioning system. The air assist is good, but not great and I used my own set up. But stock AA is adequate to get the job done. In my photos, you'll see parts cut in 1/4" cherry and hard maple. I also purchased the extension rails to make this an 800mm machine in the Y direction. My review of this is on ACMER's website. The price of this machine makes it a heavy hitter. If you're on the fence, get this one.

Unboxed this and had it running in less than 10 minutes. It's a solid mechanical product that will last for years, or the life of the laser module. My only issue is setting the "Z" height is hokey, the Laser is mounted on a flimsy "V" block that you raise manually, and they use a small metal flip down spacer to set the focus. That part is hokey, after you 'set' the height the module drops noticeably as you tighten up the hold screw. There should be a far more mechanically tight mechanism or the laser is never fully in focus. So far I've only cut 8mm ply with it and that seemed about it's capacity, even though Acmer advertises it will cut 12mm ply. The included Air Assist is wimpy but does work, I'm replacing it with an Airbrush compressor with much more PSI and air flow. I love the fact that Acmer will sell various laser modules including a 1084nm one for engraving metals. Overall very happy at the $799 price but don't think it's worth their full retail price because of the hokey Z mechanism.

The media could not be loaded. I received my laser very quickly. Item was well packaged. Arrived with no damage to the box. I opened the box, and to my surprise it came fully assembled! I've had other lasers that had the daunting task of assembly. Not this. Its ready to go right out of the box! After doing my initial testing of the machine, I realized no adjustments were needed. They also included a nice material packet. It even had a test card from factory testing. I own 2 other brand lasers. This by far is the most impressive. Customer service is is good also. I had a question, and got a response the same day. Actually in a few hours. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. This is a great piece of equipment that will fit in well at my shop.

Purchased on their website, showed up not working and tech support does EVERYTHING to tell you it's a driver issue. It's not, check the main motherboard and don't be surprised when either the screw for the rubber foot is shorting the board or you find wiring not hooked up. These are a dime a dozen laser cutters, spend your money on one that has an existing knowledge pool.
