  • Terrific Buy
My favorite shade. They're inexpensive and temporarily permanent. In-other-words, they're still up after a year and will remain that way. Do NOT mess up when placing them. If you have to pull them down to reposition they will probably not stay, otherwise they stick very well indeed. These will not completely darken the room. They cut out around 85 to 90% of the light. These are vinyl, can be cut to size with a box knife and have a central cord with a push-in button to put them up or pull them down. We have them up in every window. ... show more

  • Pretty good, although a bit too short for tall windows
I put these up today on a bay window consisting of four separate windows. We get indirect light, not full sun, and these darkened the room quite a lot, if not completely. They are actually about three inches too short for my windows, which admittedly are quite tall (Victorian). The blinds look quite good other than being too short. I had to cut them to size width-wise. For this job, I used a large kitchen knife, which I continually sharpened as I worked, and a wooden cutting board. The cutting required a great deal of elbow grease and took a long time. But it worked out okay, and although the cuts are perhaps slightly ragged, you really can't tell now that the blinds are up. I hope the sticky stuff the blinds are hanging from is strong enough. Some other reviewers call these light gray; I'd say they're a very cool white. The vinyl is as light and delicate as paper. The raising and lowering mechanism is elegant and works very well. Overall I'm reasonably happy with these. ... show more

  • AMAZING! Definitely worth the price
I've been an Amazon Prime customer since 2011. I have never ever written a review on a product- until now. I've only had these shades up for about a week so far, but all I can really say is they are absolutely AMAZING! They are so easy to cut to any specific dimensions you would want- all you need is a box cutter. They stay in place and are very strong, as long as you're not too rough with them. I love the drawstring tab For how lightweight they are they keep an incredible amount of light out also. Actually better than the "blackout" curtains I previously had up! I couldn't recommend these enough! Definitely worth the price. They look very expensive for the price which is a huge plus. 5 Stars!*** ... show more

  • Fell apart
Looked good. Mechanically worked well. But they didn't last in our cabin. Sun exposure broken down the vinyl at the seems and they fell apart in about 1 yr from installation.

  • The opposite of room darkening
I was really disappointed with these blinds. They are advertised as being room darkening, but they actually glow with light behind them and made the room even brighter in the am. While they were easy to install and have a very strong adhesive, that is now why I can’t get a return for this product. I had to pull them down, taking all of the paint along the inner windowsill, too. I should have trusted my instincts and gone with a different product. They are only helpful as a “sheer equivalent,” but do not block even the smallest amount of light. ... show more

  • Love these shades!
These shades are awesome! We are under construction in our house and have also replaced all of the windows in our home (new and existing space). This is a fantastic temporary solution. We used two on our custom bay window and then the remaining four in our bedroom and our children's bedroom. The shades do a great job keeping out the sunlight and they are very easy to use. Our 9 year old daughter "helped" me hang them in seconds and our 7 year old can easily raise and lower them on a daily basis. We have used them for nearly two months. Much more aesthetically pleasing inside the house and from the street. My neighbor had no idea they were temporary blinds and complimented me the day we put them up. Far better than paper or the dark garbage bags we had to hang for the first few days. Awesome! ... show more

  • Do not stick
These were easy to install and looked nice in our basement. However, I followed all the instructions and they are not staying up. Within 12 hours, all of them had fallen down. I installed them on a clean, dry surface.

  • Cheap but does the trick
Took me a little longer and was quite the messy installation. They’re cheap and will cover your window but I recommend ones without the clips. They fall apart easily and don’t really hold the shade up.
