  • Nice Laptop For Traveling!
CPU: i9-12900H / RTX 3080Ti Style: 16" WUXGA
I purchased this laptop back in November 2022 and it has been a great laptop. Since then, I’ve done quite a bit of traveling and this laptop has worked well for running the editing programs that I use for photography and videography.

  • Have a fan base for the large periods you need to turbo the laptop.
CPU: i9-12900H / RTX 3080Ti Style: 16" WUXGA
An absolute beast. Runs everything you throw at it, at high graphs and no lagging. Also, renders at a great speed. The material doesn't feel cheap, and it's very thin and slick. Really good laptop. Cons: RAMS is not upgradeable beyond 32GB (as per manufacturer recommendations), but it could be possible to add more, at one's risk. Possible risks: random system interrupts a.k.a. literally bluscreens (but I might be wrong). A bit loud fans when the turbo is on, but that's ok. Overall, an absolute masterpiece, a must grab if you want to squeeze money out of this laptop as a work investment (either gaming, content creation, or 3D design). ... show more

  • Lasted less then a month
CPU: i9-12900H / RTX 3080Ti Style: 16" WUXGA
Recently purchased this and have had nothing but issues. When it was running it was slow. The past few days it's been blue screening with a ""Acer driver verifier DMA violation" error message. I got it to run and tried a factory reset but it failed somehow. Then it bluescreened with "Driver power state failure" error message. Now it's stuck on the sign in because my PIN is somehow lost, the app that resets the PIN is broken, and the fingerprint reader stopped registering anything. I bought this brand new less then one month prior to writing this and the ACER website says it's out of warranty somehow and does not offer any help. Avoid this machine ... show more

  • Nice laptop, with the worst speakers I've heard in over a decade
CPU: i9-12900H / RTX 3080Ti Style: 16" WUXGA
This laptop has plenty of pros... Modern 12th Gen Intel CPU, NVidia 3080Ti (laptop version), plenty of RAM. They were a bit stingy on the SSD but 1TB will get you by for a while. The screen is a nice improvement over the laptop it's replacing (close to years old). I was pleasantly surprised the only bloatware of significance was Norton, which I immediately got rid of - nobody needs that garbage. However, it has one major drawback and one minor annoyance. The touchpad is annoying and easy to palm - could have sworn this problem was fixed 10 years ago but it's not on this laptop (not by default at least). The bigger issue though.... the sound is awful. Not just your typical bad laptop speakers, but almost like they're blown bad. Better get ready to use headphones or separate speakers because you're not going to want to listen to these clearly overlooked speakers that are built in. DTS/X... lol... whatever that means... it definitely doesn't mean good quality built-in speakers that's for sure. ... show more

Assume computer. Arrive on time and in flawless condition. I am using it for movie making using Cut Clip software. Super-fast running the Cut Clip software. Screen is sharp and crystal clear. Others had commented that the sound quality was not the best. I would have to disagree; the sound is perfect. Thanks. ... show more

  • 17 Month Update; Cannot recommend
CPU: i9-12900H / RTX 3080Ti Style: 16" WUXGA
Second update, 11/11/23 (purchased June 2022): You can see from my earlier review that the laptop had to be returned once soon after purchase because the graphics card didn't work. Acer said they replaced the main board. Kudos to them for fixing the product, but it took two weeks along with my time and effort to get it shipped out, etc. FFWD to today, and it looks like the SSD has failed and the laptop is out of warranty. Now I'm on the hook for replacing it out of pocket, along with the added frustration of reinstalling the OS, all of my apps, etc. Long story short, the machine specs out nicely and the price was lower than a comparable Alienware laptop, but Acer's component QC leaves a lot to be desired, IMO. Oh, and something else I missed in my initial reviews... The display adapter doesn't work through the USB3-C ports. Basically, you can't utilize the high end graphics card through a docking station. You have to plug an HDMI cable directly into the laptop's port. Kind of a pain if you want to use external monitors. I am going to just buy a new laptop from a better brand and hand this Acer down to my son after I replace the SSD. Pity. I received the laptop back after a two week turnaround, from the time I dropped it off with FedEx to when I got it back two days ago. According to the repair order, they had to replace the entire main board, probably due to the NVIDIA GPU being faulty. The machine is working flawlessly (hope I'm not jinxing myself) so I will give it 4 stars, knocking 1 off because of Acer's poor initial QC and the relative hassle of being without my computer for two weeks. Original review: I will update this review depending on how the repair process goes. I ordered the laptop on Prime Day and received it a few days later. I spent about a week getting it all set up. Launched a game and the frame rate was like a PowerPoint presentation. Weird... I looked in the Device Manager and the NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti (a VERY expensive component of this very expensive laptop) wasn't working. After troubleshooting with no luck, I contacted Acer support via their chat feature. After telling the CS rep what steps I'd taken, they told me to send it back for repair. Hopefully I'll get it back in 10-15 days. So, for now - Acer gets 1 star from me. Whether that changes and how much will depend on them. ... show more
