  • Good for the Price 👍
I’ve watched a ton of videos on this laptop and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed as I already knew the pros and cons before buying. Especially it being refurbished. For value of money: I’ve been screwed over with renewed products before and that’s a risk you take when buying it as such but sometimes it can be worth it and I’ll have to say luckily for me the laptop came as it was advertised. A huge wave of relief and joy came over me when the laptop came in actually good condition, and although it’s variants with the 40 series were more expensive, it still performed fast. I have a pc myself that I’ve built myself so in my case I didn’t really care too much of the graphics since I’m not planning to game that often on it, but for those that aren’t aware it comes with 6gb of vram which isn’t too bad on some older games but can still handle maybe some newer ones but not as powerful as an actual desktop. After removing all the bloatware that it came with 🙄 (I recommend using RevoUninstaller since it’s free and helps remove the useless ram consuming applications it comes with) the 16gb is the icing on the cake as nowadays 8gb is really barely making it past as a good quality laptop. CPU wise, it does a decent job, my desktop has a i5-12600k and although it may not be as powerful as that, it gets the job done, when tested with MSI afterburner, the cpu was handling itself pretty good. The GPU did get up to high temps but it wasn’t anything insane, the fans are really good but as most reviewers will tell you yourself It is loud, not annoying loud per say, but if you’re trying to game in a library, it has jet engines for sure. However, I didn’t buy it for gaming as stated earlier, mostly for college so with its casual usage such as internet browsing or using excel, the fans are actually pretty quiet, just only loud when gaming. The speakers aren’t the best, but tbh it’s not a deal breaker, most people gaming use headphones so honestly it is what it is. I would say this, the screen panel isn’t that bad. If you’re accustomed to high quality panels then maybe it could be a deal breaker for you but honestly the screen panel isn’t bad, I’ve had crappier laptops with horrible panels than it and all I can tell you is that is just lacking brightness. However if you’re in a room without the sun hitting your screen that much, it’s pretty good, but if you’re planning to be outside with it on a sunny day, uhhhhhh no. Don’t do that. Just. Don’t. Why would you even do that? Anyways Battery wise, it’s okay, gaming wise, it’d last you a good hour and maybe 2 hours of hard gaming sessions. For casual usage, 3-4 hours. If you’re gaming near a plug, I recommend plugging in your laptop as that’ll allow the laptop to get more power and enhance the performance within games, I recommend looking up a YouTube review that shows the difference between gaming without it plugged up and with it not plugged up, there’s a huge difference. Overall, it’s okay for the price, is there better at a higher price? Hell yeah! However if this is all you can afford and are like me are willing to pay (god I wish you can make your own laptop, I would’ve loved doing that instead) then go for it. For $200 cheaper than the 40 series variant, you’re definitely getting something that won’t be regretted! And also, if you ever break the screen, it’s actually really easy to repair it yourself, the screens don’t cost that much to buy, you just need the model number and you can buy it off of Amazon yourself. You can also upgrade the amount of space it comes with which is always nice, for ram though I believe 16gb is the max, I may be wrong but even then, 16gb is enough to get you by and if you need more then look around for a different laptop and a different cpu that can give you that performance you’re looking for. Overall, good laptop, good price, for a refurbished product, it came in very good condition which I must say I am very pleased to see and have. If I encounter any issues in the future I’ll make sure to update this review, if anything I’ll do an update later on, and I’ll let you know if it can even make it past 3 months. With proper care of course. ... show more

  • Pleasantly suprised
I ordered this and have not been disappointed. The computer appears to be almost completely brand new - the screws still had the threadlocker on them and the machine had no scratches or dents. This machine has space for a secondary hard drive (both are the NVMe). The laptop comes with Windows 11 HOME. If that bothers you (I require pro for work), keep in mind that you will need to download the irst driver to do a regular windows install - if you don't, windows will not be able to detect either of the hard drives on the machine. I installed windows 11 pro and debian 12 on my machine. Works great so far! ... show more

  • AMAZING for the price
Got this laptop because it was super cheap and had way better specs for the price compared to all other laptops on here. I didn't let the renewed tag scare me off- funnily enough renewed laptops on here tend to be pretty good in my experience. It came with just the laptop and charger with a large durable cell of bubble wrapping around it (My box came with a huge dent and the wrapping for sure saved it). The singular gripe I had with this laptop was the windows 11 installation with McAfee installed, though I instantly shoved Windows 10 IoT on it and it works wonderfully. It came in basically new condition- If you told me this was a new laptop I would have believed you. I'd say if you're looking for a cheap gaming laptop THIS is the one you want to buy. I can see this lasting me quite a few years. ... show more

  • Great laptop for the price but NO WARRANTY*!
For the price, I would recommend it to anyone under the caveat that they know there is no warranty*. Automatically 3 stars because although I trust Acer build quality to last a few years, refurbs need a warranty you can count on. So far this is a good laptop but the keyboard and touchpad take time getting accustomed to. Pros: - 3050 6GB - NVENC - 144HZ screen with adjustable refresh rate - No RGB - Keyboard has a numberpad -SSD is relatively fast Cons: - Keyboard numberpad has half width keys I keep accidentally clicking number pad 0 instead of right arrow and number pad 3 instead of the number pad enter - Keyboard backlight is either 30 seconds, always on or off. You cannot set custom backlight timeout. And you cannot set it to turn on via touchpad. It only turns on via keyboard click. - Touchpad palm rejection isn't that great but one can get accustomed to it - Case scratches easily - No webcam shutter - Can get hot under load, but that was to be expected when I got it - Fans can get LOUD under load, but that was also expected when I got it * Technically there is a warranty because I asked Acer but I couldn't get in contact with the warranty people nor could anyone I found online who tried to contact them. The warranty is managed and serviced by a 3rd party and has nothing to do with Acer. SHAME on Acer for pawning their refurbished warranty on a 3rd party(ies) that you can't contact. I won't recommend Acer direct refurb if the price is right. ... show more

  • So far so good
Bought this for my teenager, quiet noise level. He says the display is perfect and streaming is quick, we connected to a monitor no problem. Best value for money for a gaming computer. No issues with battery life
