Don't know why but screen flickers quite dramatically which could cause seisures. Not sure if its caused by hardware acceleration or what but I couldn't find the setting to turn it off and changing the screen refresh rate also didn't work. Despite that, works quite well just sometimes have to turn it off and on again to get rid of flickering. ... show more

    • Auto shutoff issue

Randomly decides to shut off and hard to figure out a way to turn back one when this happens. You may have to hold the power button for 30+ seconds and sit the laptop. Power options do not fix this. Bios update needed but doubt it will ever be made

(this is your PSA to buy laptops in stores. UPDATED REVIEW) THE Mtkwl6ex.sys failed during my start up. I've been nicer with this laptop, shutting down after use, doing the same programs I've done on many past laptops,and this is the fastest one just gave up on me. This was a 5 star but now it's a 2. This has happened multiple times already with different issues each time. (Old REVIEW) This laptop has the best features, the fan is quiet, the streams are solid, the sound is excellent, my programs load with no issues, easy setup, the power button isn't in a bad spot, Air flow seems fine with proper space under the laptop to breathe, storage is decent, plugs are tight, Heat level never gets too crazy, it arrived safely, the backlit keyboard is set automatically to turn off after being idle and each touch lights it back up, battery level depends on what you're running and how much at once. This laptop is on par with one that I bought in 2023 and was fairly priced. The sound quality is good, the screen quality is nice, and was easy to set up. Screen size is functional, but my plan is to use an HDMI cable to hook it up to a larger monitor. The computer is good for what I need it for.
