    • How does it hold up after 3 years?

Owned for roughly 2-3 years. Heres what I have to say. Side note: I have had zero issues realistically with the laptop itself, other than the charging cord went out about after 2 years. I replaced it with some crappy 3rd party cable that did not let me perform any games with high performance whatsoever, however it wad a charger issue not acer themselves. I found a great charger cable for a good price and 1 year later it still runs amazing. The pros: Let me start by saying this, I have a Hyper X Quadcast Mic plugged into this, a external monitor, a controller, a external keyboard, mouse, ethernet cable, webcam and headphones, I stream on this setup every so often at a very solid stream quality with no effect on my gaming performance. To say this laptop is a tank is a understatement! It will handle nearly anything you throw it's way, and as long as you take good care of it, it will take good care of you (reminder to take apart your laptop every few months and dust it out, your welcome :) ). The performance at first felt like it was nothing to write home about but played games very well, I added 32gb RAM to it and also 2TB SSD which has taken its performance even further. It runs a highly demanding game like Grand Theft Auto V at 60 fps on Max Graphical Settings with no hiccups, Doom Eternal, Red Dead Redemption 2 are also good examples as well. It has plenty of USB ports to use, but if you feel you need more, it can take a USB Hub as well. Overall its a breathtaking starter gaming laptop! Cons: The speakers on the laptop arent very good, they are very quiet, however I almost never use them, as I always have headphones in. The starter hard drive is good for starters, but with games constantly getting larger in size, you may want to invest in a HDD or SSD, I reccomend SSD if you want games to load faster! Lastly, the fan can be semi loud on big games, but you can easily quiet it down with a external laptop cooler, it's more of a "whatever you prefer" situation, but it can certainly help maintain. It has more pros than cons, and as long as you take care of it, it will never let you down. Hope this helps! ... show more

Exactly as described, flawless performance, still going strong after a year and half. Haven’t needed to correspond or negotiate with the seller, so I don’t really know enough to comment, but I got a good value in a solid laptop.

it delivers great performance at gaming. but when i turn it on the first time windows dint work, if i don't go into setup and set the right boot sequence it wont boot up normally any other customer would have to look for help to male the laptop to work, so the laptop is great no problems at all but i got that issue at at the first time booting. ... show more

I got this for my son's 16th birthday. He's into gaming, both playing and designing. I didn't have thousands to spend on a gaming laptop, but I was able to afford this one. The best part is, it's number one in every metric online when compared to other lower priced gaming laptops. It's said to be the best one you can get off you're on a budget. And they weren't wrong. It has everything he needs/wanted. The graphics are perfect for all his games, and it doesn't lag/glitch/load slow for anything he's played so far. So everything he's done has been smooth and crisp. It has an SSD drive so load times are milliseconds, the only thing I'd that there's only 8 gbs of ram, but there is a slot and we plan on doubling it, so no actual problem. It has windows 11, which I'm sure is good for something, and it has met and exceeded everything he's needed or wanted from it. This is a great buy, at a reasonable price, especially if you want a real gaming laptop. If you're looking at another one, I'm telling you, you'll regret not getting this one. I've always owned Alienware, Asus and Razer Gaming Laptops, I personally purchased this as a travel laptop as I enjoy staying up to date on my gaming during business trips for extended portions of time. I've never used anything Acer before, and nor have I heard many negative things about them. But overall my experience was simply not good, I hate that I am even going through the refund process as this isn't how I work, I'm also an Amazon Vine member, I try to promote good products and leave feedback that could be beneficial. Though this return process and refund scenario is always a pain for probably good reasons. Though, Unpackaging, installing and playing all was totally fine and operational, ran pretty good on some demanding games. Though this computer was supposed to be brand new and came riddled with power issues, even fully charged It shuts off, Plugged in, shuts off and during gaming shuts off. It's difficult to tell when there is no windows event logs tracking any crashes, I can't imagine It's a GPU or heating issue, I would maybe imagine something revolving around the Power/Battery area. ... show more

Easily one of the best purchases I've made, I've been using this laptop for more than a year and still manage to do everything perfect, I upgraded the ram and the RTX 3050 that includes is great for gaming even at high graphics, yes it gets hot and it gets loud but it is a laptop so it's no surprising, the performance is great, the materials of the device might not be the most premium but they are durable, Acer does a great job with their products as usual ... show more
