This Chromebook has everything I wanted in a price I could afford. Touchscreen, lighted keyboard, screen size, large smooth touchpad, good construction, quality keyboard snappy for fast typing and decent speakers, 8gb to be fast and enough storage for what I need. I’ve had it almost a month and use it daily for everything, especially streaming all platforms. I couldn’t find anything in this price range with these specs, most are 4gb snd 64 storage.     • Great Chromebook. I got a refurbished one from Acer and it is so, so close to brand new.
I bought a refurbished unit provided by Acer. I can't tell you the price as that is not allowed in Amazon product reviews. Let me just say I am happy with the purchase. The settings provided very few hardware tests, so though all the tests were good, I went to chrome://system and - under the direction of ChatGPT - got the most important hardware tests analyzed. I had to copy data for 4-5 different areas, and provide them to ChatGPT. ChatGPT reported excellent results for this reburbished unit and reported it was in near brand new condition, like it had been opened, powered up, used a couple of hours and returned. Also the AUE date - when security updates are no longer provided - is not until 2025! I am familiar with this kind of Chromebook and would have purchased another except mine was stolen. I feel lucky to have gotten a great replacement at such great value. This kind of chromebook for entertainment (not gaming) and general usage is really great, and the device has a solid, well put together feel. This one I literally replaced my stolen one with another Acer chrome book that was almost identical to the one stolen. I really like this chromebook. I recommend it. But if you get something refurbished, be prepared to spend 30 minutes or so checking it out carefully. I *did*. ... show more

Worth. Every. Penny. Fast and intuitive. Super easy setup. Easy pairing/syncing with everything and this one came with a free year of Google One ($200, upgraded AI, 5TB storage). Only gripe is all Chromebooks rn have poor/unintuitive/mishmash Gemini integration.

I bought this renewed and had to return it due to a small crack in the frame near the trackpad. The return process was easy and I decided to go with the 516 model instead for a bigger screen. I would still highly recommend the 514! I have had so many budget chromebooks, 6 or 7 I think, and this one just blows them all away in performance (except for the 516). For once I can leave more than a few tabs open without worrying slowing down everything I do. I also find it holds my connection to wifi much better. It's fast, screen is nice (I prefer matte for anti-glare), touch works if you like it and battery seemed pretty decent as well. Highly recommend! ... show more

Perfect for what Chromebooks do best. Snappy web performance, for a full day. Quick to boot up. Android integration and Linux on tap. No fuss. Just works. Product arrived without damage, and was well padded. Only one very minor mar on the lid finish distinguished it from brand new. Surprisingly - the drive on the one I received was not the bottom tier 128GB UFS, as advertised, but a 512GB SSD. Very Satisfied with this purchase so far. ... show more
