I bought this to keep the squirrel out of our property. This product is very well made. We bought some previously and the bottom were made of clear plastic. This one is all stainless steel the spikes and the bottom that hold the spikes together. However, it does take a good effort to put them together, which I don't mind for the price I paid. This is a great product!!

I used this product on my raised garden beds, to keep out critters like porcupines, woodchucks and raccoons. Works super! However, the package contained only 79 feet instead of 84, and I ran short on one garden bed. Dishonest merchants! This is why I took off 2 stars. ALSO, one panel had three holes that had not been cleanly punched through, and it was difficult to clear the holes. I used a nail and hammer. And yes, as others have said, it was very time consuming to assemble, so I listened to YouTube podcasts as I did the job.

As noted, you have to assemble them yourself, which is time consuming, but they’re all that way. I ordered many more that I thought I would need, as I got the largest package (therefore the smallest cost per finished strip). I figured I could give some to my neighbors too (not assembled of course), but it turns out that I needed them to also discourage gulls from nesting on the flat part of my roof. I’m glad I got enough. On the chimneys I used Liquid Nails which secured the strips solidly. On the flat part of the roof, I screwed them into exterior plywood and laid it directly on the flat part of my roof (with small bumpers on the bottom of the plywood, so water would continue to drain properly). Go for it! I gave a lower score to the assembly and install categories, because that’s the way it is! However, I gave an overall high rating, because I don’t think you can do any better!

I absolutely love my XPCARE 33.6 Feet Bird Spikes! These spikes are incredibly durable and have effectively kept pigeons and other small birds away from my Sign. Installation was a breeze and the spikes blend in seamlessly with the surroundings. I no longer have to deal with bird droppings and damage to my Sign thanks to these bird repellent spikes. There must be a better design to not require 2 hours to assemble these things. If pushing the wires into the strips was not tedious enough, you have to remove the blue protective plastic film from each one and it has been cut during the machining process so there are 5 strips. Which are easily broken as you pull them off. They do glue down nicely but I am afraid the wires are too vertical...don't protect as much area. We will have to see how the birds like them. Pic shows the blue because I got tired of pulling it off and I hope the sun breaks it down.
