  • Great laptop for the price
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
I love my Acer laptop. I am interested in options, and wanted a laptop that was able to handle the details of a stock market screen with all of its variables. The research I did paid off. This is showing itself to do what I want it to at the best price.

  • Day one. So far so good. Took about an hour to set it up.
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
Love the backlit keyboard! Picture is fantastic! Finger print reader is awesome! Download speeds are 350mps and I only pay for 300. I gave it 4 stars because of major light leakage around all the keys when the keyboard lights up. Plugged it in and it took 3 hours to charge fully. Didn't turn it on when I got it. Just plugged it in like the recommendations say. UPDATE: 5 days now. It crashed on me today. Not sure what happened. I was chatting and suddenly a screen said shutting down. I couldn't stop it. When I turned it back on, it gave the new version of the "Blue Screen of Death"! Tried everything it said to do. Nothing worked. Called Acer. They made me do all the same things again. Plus 5 different Command prompt entry's. Nothing worked. So I set up a return with Amazon and removed the extra SSD drive I installed, plugged it in and turned it on for kicks. It worked! Was it the SSD I had installed? I have no clue. But the laptop wasn't plugged in when it crashed or "shut down" and wouldn't restart. After I used it for about 15-20 min with it plugged in, I checked the battery status. It was at 28%. Could it have charged form 5% to 28 in that time? Not sure. Maybe it just shut down because of the battery level. But I have ran the battery to near dead or 5% 2 times before and it gave a warning. Several in fact. Not this time. Other than that. I love everything about this laptop. Unless it happens again... ... show more

  • It's worth every penny.
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
Ok, out of all computers I have had. This is definitely a hell of an upgrade, First off, my wifi was crappy on my old computer, But when I use it on the computer, it's instant fast, very fast, Even without a wifi or internet connection, it was instant. The laptop itself is very light weight, probably even weights less then 3pounds, the most I can say it's about 2 an a half pounds maybe even, 2 pounds and a quarter of a pound. The design is beautiful, I love how the keyboard glows, it helps me so much at night. And I'm sure others who have gotten this has had this help them many of times. Honestly. It runs games smoothly, with no lag, it makes life a lot better, The harddrive is even better, the lifespan last up to around 7 hours 7-half hours. Not a full 8 hours but it gets you threw all day it your traveling or taking it out. Then it will last all day. The camera isn't GREAT, I didn't really need the camera tho anyway, I only needed the pc for gaming and school(If you wanna facechat tho that wouldn't be bad the camera quality isnt horrible, just not enough for video making.) It had the exact amount of storage and it had 8gb of ram as it said, It also added another 100gb because of dropbox, so in total I got 300gbs or so, which made me damn happy.I have heard the ups and downs with acer with, this kind of stuff. But I had no problems with this laptop what so ever, I reccomend it to other's highly. I would also like to put, I am a gamer, and I have part time school as well, if you want a good gaming Laptop or school laptop. 5 stars. Great quality. ... show more

  • Does the job
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
Bought for my dad who needs it for minor work items such as checking emails, video chats, streaming, and other basic functions. Very easy setup and runs decent. Has all the basic specs I was looking for and is solid for the price. He is very happy with it.

  • Decent for general use
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
I've had my Acer for almost 2 yrs now & it's still going. The price point is ok. Honestly, I feel they could drop a good $100 off for the cons that come with it. Cons: Low sound quality Low battery usage Battery is super hot when using Black screen of death is real But on the plus side (Pros) the screen/picture quality is pretty good. I love the backlit keyboard. I also like having the numeric keys on the side. It's quite sturdy, not too heavy though. The keyboard keys are spaced nicely & have a good feel to them. Mousepad is fluid & responsive, not glitchy. The only major issues I've had are the screen going out on me several times (always when I'm on Zoom). I don't understand the issue & can get no answers from Acer. All I have to do is close the laptop & reopen. This seems to resolve the black screen & it works like usual. Fortunately, it doesn't happen too often, but it's surprising & a nuisance when it happens. The volume & sound quality are lacking severely. I hate that the speakers are on the bottom of the unit. Stupid design in my opinion. Overall, I use it for general web browsing, Zoom meetings, & video watching. It's not a bad buy & it's lasted a couple years with no major issues. ... show more

  • Wonderful for Price
CPU: Intel Core i5 10th Gen Style: Notebook Only
I am enjoying this laptop. This is my first acer. I had to replace a dell (older than 8 years still going strong just slow) and a HP (cracked back screen case and screen pulling away when it is opened and closed ; 2-4 years old). I love how lightweight it is compared to my older laptops. I have larger hands with long fingers. I have not ran into any issues with the num pad off to the right. I love the backlit keyboard. The touch pad is a little weird for me. I accidentally right click or jump to a random spot when I use it. I prefer my mouse instead. The screen shows colors vividly for me and is pretty bright. Battery life is average with heavy usage. I have not had any issues when programming, running data analytics, and working on side projects. There are multiple ports available which cuts down on the need for converters. Overall, I enjoy this Acer for the price. It is perfect for what I needed! ... show more
