The Chromebook is really an over sized tablet. What I love is that it is super lightweight and has a long battery life. Runs solely on apps. So if a program you need to use does not have an app, it will not run on the Chromebook. Personally think the functionality could be improved so that it would be more like a laptop. However, if all you are wanting to do is stream Youtube videos, access social media sites, and/or general web browsing, it will be the best device you could ever buy. When using the hotspot boxes or jetpacks for data, be sure to turn off the setting that leaves the wifi on while the device is hibernating by going into the advance settings in the device settings. Otherwise, you will easily go through 10gb of data within 2 days. I know that from personal experience. Goes through data quickly. Not sure why that is. However, it is from personal experience that I can use up 10gb of data within 2 weeks on my Chromebook, yet it takes me 30 days to use up 5gb on my phone and tablet. Ah yes...this piece of trash...I had an Acer chromebook for 3 years, worked amazing, until my dad stepped on it. Went to look up another one to buy, turns out that model was discontinued, so I looked up and found this one. Looked the same. 20 minutes after charging it and turning it on, the screen went black and NEVER came back on. You took over $100 and gave me a laptop that NEVER worked I tried refund but we never got a chance to take it to send it back. Huge mistake. ... show more
