  • Highly recommend
I bought this 3 years ago for my son, and it’s still working great.

  • Great with one hiccup.
Take this for what you will, but I'm coming from a 200 dollar laptop from Walmart to this gaming laptop. With that being said, the comparison of course will be night and day. I primarily got this laptop for two games, GTA and second life, and well it runs it perfectly. Again the graphics I'm use to with the 200 dollar one and this one is apples to oranges, but the graphics are awesome. The laptop itself is a great machine, and you won't be disappointed. Only thing I wish, and this is just going through and finding the needle in the haystack of what I can possibly complain about is battery life. Seems like if you don't have the cord attached to it charging, you lose battery life quick. Other then that, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this one. It runs smooth, has great graphics, good storage space, download speeds are great. Everything is A+. ... show more

  • Excellent gaming for your Money
I wanted an NVIDIA RTX 2060 budget gaming laptop, trying to maximize the specs for my money. Willing to sacrifice some overall design and materials, and this is exactly what this laptop is. more than capable of handling demanding pc gaming and even Oculus Link VR games. highly recommended. lighter and thinner than what i expected, which is good. Temperature, battery life and fan noise as expected from a Gaming laptop. ... show more

  • Gaming laptop that needs some upgrades to be its best
The short answer is 'YES'. Yes it will run nearly everything at high settings. The long answer is: You will want to do some minor upgrades to this computer to make it perform its best. The NVMe SSD included is quite small (500GB) and for an M.2 SSD not very fast. Also the amount of ram is just abysmal. I added a 1TB NVMe SSD that is about 2x faster than the one included and I removed the Ram and put in 2 16 GB sticks for a total of 32GB of RAM. I did this almost immediately and it added about $200 in cost. I also rarely use it as a "laptop". Its mostly on my desk connected to a 1440p 32" monitor that is in most ways superior to the screen that ACER included. I also have some 'pebble' speakers that have MUCH better sound than the the tiny little buttons they put in this PC. So my overall experience has been vastly improved over the stock setup for this machine. I also purchased the NITRO 5 (AN5155470KK) when it was still around $700. THE SCREEN - is ...okay. Its got a high refresh rate 144hz so it doesnt have issues with motion interpolation which is good but its a basic 1080p monitor in every other way. THE GRAPHICS - Yes. Ray Tracing. You name it. It does it. Of course this comes at a cost. Power. It uses it and FAST. Minecraft usually kills the battery in a little over an hour. Now it does have an integrated intel graphics chip you can use instead for MUCH better battery life but of course that one SUCKS. THE SOUND - No. You will absolutely want to use something else to get your sound. These speakers are terrible. THE KEYBOARD - Its red. Full sized and the lights can be turned off if you like. THE PORTS - It has an HDMI out which the 2060 RTX uses. It has an USB C port which the Intel IGC uses if for some crazy reason you want to send your screen to an external device but dont have an HDMI option or ...just want no graphics? Two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0. Of course the usual power adapter port and headphone jack are also present. These are all on either side of the unit. Nothing on the back or the front. FAN NOISE - Yeah, a bit. Usually when running a game for a while it will crank up the fans and you definitely can hear them but I wouldn't call them "loud", even at max speed. Noticeable, certainly. BATTERY LIFE - Honestly its pretty bad, but as I stated before its the trade off for having a mobile 2060 RTX. You can get more life of course but the trade off is really drastic so I really wouldn't recommend playing games with this PC without an outlet near by. Overall I like this laptop very much and the upgrades I made definitely improve it quite a bit. That said the current asking price of $1000+ seems quite high for this PC as it is. ... show more

  • Overall a great buty
So overall this computer was great for what I wanted. However if the computer gets a little hot the keyboard got so hot it hurt my fingers. Other than that it runs great. I can play the sims 4 in High quality, sea of thieves, and a ton of other games all on high quality. It runs smoothly. I honestly think it was worth the money. ... show more

  • Battery is not working
I bought this product on June and after a month and a couple of weeks the battery is no longer working. Every single time I unplug the charger I receive a message the battery is too low. It seems this product is faulty.

  • Good laptop at this price.
A mixed bag on this, but I don't have buyer's remorse. Pros: Computer is unaltered so your warranty starts when you boot it up. Runs as it should and is a pretty good deal for the hardware you get. It doesn't seem to run very hot though the longest gaming session I had was about 4 hours. It is also pretty light weight at about 4-5 pounds. Some complained of screen quality but I didn't notice any problems. Keyboard was easy to get used to. Cons: Case is poorly designed. There was a very good review on youtube about this. I should have listened. The power cord and the headphone cords plug in on the right hand (mouse) side which is just annoying but not a deal breaker. The newer versions don't do this. I don't think the sound is as good through the jack as it is on my old HP laptop. Same headphones but the richness is not there. The red keys are awful and won't stay lit so they are hard to see. I thought I would get used to it but I still hate them after 2 months. The pkastic case makes it feel cheap. Battery only lasts 2-3 hours. Still a good laptop at this price point. ... show more
