This is my first experience with a Chromebook, and while there's a bit of a learning curve, I think it's pretty good. I bought this for my son who needed something a little easier to work on with all the at-home learning happening because of COVID. Out of the box it was in "new" condition with no visible wear on outside or screen. Setup was pretty seamless,. Navigating the app store I found everything I needed to set this up for schoolwork and after reading a few online guides, learned how to make it super easy to navigate by touch for my son. I really like the fact that it operates in tablet mode and laptop mode, as well as the tablet stand mode (keyboard facing down) since particularly that last mode makes it super easy to use the touchscreen. It's pretty big for an 11" screen, and it is very heavy for a tablet, so it's not the kind of thing my son can cart around the house as easily as his other devices, but it works great on a desk and it can move around if needed. Battery life seems good. Charger, which is UBC-C, is a little bigger than it probably needs to be, but it's fine. The charger is included, btw, but packed in a way that it's possible to miss when opening the package so make sure you double check the box before thinking it's not there. ... show more

I was a bit leery when I read the reviews but this one had the best out of any so I went for it. Very glad I did. It came packaged well. I even got a charger! I realized after I ordered that I didn't see a charger as part of what ships so I was excited to see that! It runs well. My 2 kids were issued 1 device from our school district which posed a problem when they wanted them to do their work specifically on a Chromebook and we didn't own one. While this one is not the exact same, it operates perfectly! If it didn't say in the description and have a sticker on it stating it is refurbished I would have no idea! It is light and compact and seems quite durable! We can download whatever apps we want from the play store, huge for us as the district issued one had access to 4 apps that neither kid had a use for. It runs exactly the same as the other Chromebook so they know exactly what to do. I am still learning a couple things, like there is no right click on the tracker pad and where shift is on a "normal" keyboard is the search key on Chromebook keyboards.     • First Day laptop review. Good thing for the price.

So I'd just like to begin with this is only my first day with the laptop so I'm to really understand and determine the product as a whole however I will update the review if anything new arises. So I'd like to start off with one of my big questions prior to buying it and that was size. How big is it? Well, obviously, it says the side up top but in person, it is a small yet decent sized laptop. If your looking for a relatively small light laptop that you can just slip into your bag and go than this is for you! It's not tiny but it's smaller then my previous one, now this may not be a downside for someone who needs this for say work or school but rather for someone, like myself, who likes to enjoy a good movie on a laptop. The screen isn't quite big enough for my taste in regards to the ability to get fully immersed in a film but it is okay for the most part. Now for the screen itself, it is good but I noticed at first that there was a weird 'quality' about it, I use the word quality simply because I lack a better term. It's hard to describe, an almost blur or kind of like when you touch your screen with greasy hands and it gets that weird foggy-ness of sorts. Once I turned on the computer it was less noticeable but it is still something that is apparent, although not immensely. The keyboard is good as well as the touch screen, it's convenient if you watching something or just for fun. What was really great is my old computer, which I had for a couple of years, recently broke and I was a little upset thinking I'd lose my photos of websites or just my stuff in general but I was pleasantly surprised to see when I logged into my google account all my stuff was there. Even my beloved backscreen (me and my cat)! Most of passwords were saved as was my visited websites, etc. Now to the camera, the camera quality is well okay. The camera is well, a camera on a laptop. It's no iPhone X but it gets the job done and is not too bad for a laptop. Too soon to see battery life or anything being that this is only my first day having it. One thing that I was not aware of, however, not sure if this was just my post office's doings or the seller, was you need to sign for the package. I didn't realize that and the package got sent back to the post office and had to be redelivered which was a whole big process so be prepared to be at home when or around the time it is delivered. As a whole? A pretty solid laptop! It's not amazing or outstanding but for someone on a budget, like myself, who just needs to get their work done and enjoy a few films it's great! It arrived immaculately, not a scratch or dent insight, and with a charger that seems to be working fine. It's a good price for a good laptop, solid, well made, convenient. There's a headphone jack and connects to my airports. Overall, I'd recommend this to high school kids, older people or people need a laptop for basic things. It's no super machine but it's good, it's touch screen and bendable structure is fun and easy, its connection to google docs is convenient, and its camera and keyboard are good. iT'S A GREAT MONITOR VERY CLEAR , NICE AND SLIM GREAT QUALITY BUT THE SPEAKERS REAL REAL BAD SO IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SOUND BUY IT I LOVE THIS MONITOR. I NEED TO FIND OUT IF I CAN HOOK UP MY OWN SPEAKERS.

Excellent monitor at a very fair price. Are there better? Probably, but not for the price. Speakers not that great but if your listening to a lot of audio you want stand alone speakers anyway.

I can't complain about this. And the fact it has speakers makes it even better. You have to know that at this price it doesn't have every adjustment ability known to man. Just make a few tweaks for your system and leave it. It does the job well enough of ... well ... displaying the info. So, there it is. This is my third Acer and I could easily say that you get what you pay for since they are among the cheapest monitors on the market. But they really are quite good. So, better than what you pay for certainly earns a 5 star in my book. ... show more

We purchased two of these so our 5 year old and 8 year old children could have dedicated devices for remote schooling. We wanted them to have the same computer to reduce fighting. The fact that these Chrome books have both a key board and a touch screen is great for their differing abilities to type/read.
