The alternator looks well built and actually has the plug dust shield for the top plug. Alot don't. The price was the best part, it was a great price and better than some reman ones. I just got it put on my machine, so time will tell on how long it will last. Anyone that is looking to replace the expensive mando alternator on a older bobcat machine, this is the type you need. Fit perfectly with exception to the pulley. This one has the small belt pulley. I had a proper width groove pulley, so I simply changed it. Buy the regulator wire pigtail your in business. Charging perfectly and this one does not strain when I turn on the 3 4inch lights now and Maintains the correct voltage ... show more

Hasn't even been a month and the battery post on the back came loose on lost connection 60 miles from home. Made it till the battery died.

If your looking to get this I think it was a great buy and the price was not bad at all. It is easy to install and it works like a champ!! I own a 1985 S10 Chevy blazer (utility style) and it was a perfect fit keeping my truck always charged and has no issues even when its 8° or lower. The only thing that is different I noticed was that it can only fit one belt on it so if you have 2 like I do you can only put the belt on one spot but all and all it turned out awesome!     • This is a great alternator especially for the price. With one catch.
I chose to modify my alternator mounts so that I could switch to this alternator. My main goal is to be alternator worry free from now on. I found that the original alternators on my yacht were unobtainable and compatible replacements were absurdly expensive. There is only one catch. The pulley that comes with this alternator doesn't suit my solution and needs to be replaced with a larger pulley. As delivered the nut holding the pulley on this alternator is so tight I had to cut them off. I found this to be true for both of the ones ordered. Otherwise this is easiest alternator to deal with.
