Been a while since I've used AC Delco brakes, my last two sets on my Tahoe were Duralast Max, one set lasted 60K the other the rotors warped in less than 14K. Since I Tow a boat quite a bit i wanted pads and rotors that were more heavy duty. These Delco pads are awesome. Quiet, stop fast and very easy to install. I had lots of stopping power when hitting the brakes towing last weekend. I will buy these again next time i have to change brakes! ... show more

    • Much shorter stopping distance!
I had some brake squeel on my 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. Turned out to be bent hardware but my pads were low anyway and this kit comes with new hardware. Very high quality pads. I suggest buying extra lube for the install as they only give you a tiny amount. I figured I would need to turn my rotors because I had some pulsation, but didn't have time. Turns out just replacing the pads was enough that the pulsation with away. My stopping distance is significantly shorter now too! ... show more

    • Good stopping power and quiet after doing a couple extra steps
From what i can tell it's official ac delco stuff. Notes to have a completely noise-free brake job: 1) Put a very thin layer of supplied grease on the edges of the shoes where they move in the clips and UNDER the shims or between the shims and the back of the brake pads. NOT between the caliper and shim. 2) Lightly sand rotor with coarse grit sandpaper (150) and wash off rotor with water and dish detergent to remove all old grease and thin deposited layer of old brake pad material. This makes a new surface for the new brake material to deposit on similar to using new rotors. In my case, it also removed what i thought to be the source of my slight squeak when the brakes were cold and damp, some wash and wax that had gotten on the rotors. And of course don't get any grease on the pads or rotors. ... show more

The Delco brake pads were a good fit and easier to install than off brand made brake pads. I didn't have to grind down or file off excess metal from the tabs to get the pads to slide into the clips. Plus, the braking of the vehicle is as it should be with the new pads.
