    • RPM jumps from slow to fast
I use this tool all the time, and find it really useful. I only wish the motor was a little more “subtle.” It jumps from a relatively slow RPM to a very fast one, with no gradual increase in the middle. Makes it much less effective than it could be.

    • Something is of great value.
From my experience with my unit it is a 10+. The unit is small enough for anyone. The battery is tight in the handle but a large channel lock helps get the battery out. I used it on Friday to polish the wax on a SUV. I use the sanding option on rusty things. Nothing more to say.

    • Worked for about a week, AC Delco and Amazon won’t respond. Redesigned version SUCKS
Only giving it 2 stars cause these USED to be great tools before they redesigned them. I had one for over 5 years and it still works great today. I gave it to one of my new technicians so figured I’d buy myself a new one. When it came in, I quickly realized they changed the design and immediately I realized the new batteries and charger seemed way lighter than the old style. Not necessarily a bad thing, but also they seemed “cheaper” than the old style. It worked as it should have for about a week or two, then one day I went to charge a battery. As soon as the battery clipped into the charger there was a “POP” sound and then a small amount of smoke coming out of the charger. Immediately I unplugged the charger and contacted AC Delco through Amazon. Within a couple weeks I still had no response, so I decided to just order a new charger for $30. The charger says it’s charging the batteries, but then I go to put them in the buffer and the battery is on red and I get about 5 seconds of use before both batteries are dead again. I’m very disappointed with the new tool, and even more disappointed with the lack of communication from AC Delco or even Amazon for that matter. Now I will be getting the Milwaukee version of this tool. In hindsight I wish I just spend the extra $50 from the start, but like I said I genuinely used to love this tool (before they changed it) ... show more

    • Absolutely one of my favorite tools
I have worked in the auto industry for 30 years - this has become one of my favorite tools. It is multi functional - I can use it to sand in tight areas, or I can switch to buffer pads and buff out small areas, that would be in accessible with a conventional buffer. At the same time I can use this to polish out some minor imperfections in the paint on larger panels without having to lift and use a heavier buffer, which also allows for less sling and less post buffing clean up. Highly recommend. Battery life is long enough to get you through a job and it comes with 2 batteries - one will recharge in the time it takes you to wear out the other. ... show more
