I decided to upgrade my s44 ionboard in my 4x4. After debating between the evo6 and evo8, I decided to go for the evo10 (evo8 and evo10 are the exact same size). This evo10 is no doubt OVERKILL for a 4x4, but for the nominal price difference between the evo8 and evo10, I went for it anyway. This light is a monster. It fits wall to wall in a 4x4. Currently I'm in flower and have the light set at 60% at about 20 inches or so above canopy. I tried 70% and burnt the leaf tips, even at 2 feet above canopy. At 60% I'm getting about 800-900 ppfd, even in the corners. The coverage (footprint) and amount of diodes provide DEEP penetration. The light gives off more of a yellow light than ACI's ionboards. The ionboards give off more of a blue, evos' are more yellow. Heat at higher power levels may likely be an issue. Removing the drivers helped, but not completely. If you power this at 70% or higher, expect temperatures of 82-85f. However this is also due to the fact that I'm in a 4x4 tent. If you're on the fence, I say go for it! Nice big light for my grow room. I just hoisted this thing up to the ceiling. and stuck my full spec & uv-a lights onto the thing. wish they fit a little better. Works great with the 4-to-1 UIS adapter, for all the lights on PORT1 of the Smart69PRO controller. You can get the controller w/ a fan for 75. Thing is pretty darn bright. We mounted the 2 huge drivers (car amp sized) on the wall outside the room. Temps dropped 7*F. ... show more

This light is expensive, but its like having the sun in your house gives off great light , but it will heat up your tent to about 90° and that with the power pack mounted outside the tent.
