I don't do any grow stuff but got this to just move some air and heat out of my home server closet. Similar setup to the product photos with just some flex ducting but leading out of the room. Working well enough for my needs (probably overkill) so would probably work fine for the intended purpose. Air flow seems to be good, I don't notice the noise of it but it's also a lot quieter than the fans on my devices. ... show more

Full disclosure, I bought my tent 2nd hand and the person I got it from set everythign up for me initially, but I've been maintaining it and upgrading pieces as needed. I have an AC Infiniti tent set up complete with the automated controller, fans, lights, and in-line fan. I was able to easily swap out the old inline (that was well used and loved) and replaced it with this and it took no time to swap in and plug into my controller. It comes with it's own controller if you don't have the full automated set up like I have but I just love how this system is so easy to maintain especially for dummies like me. Compared to my old fan this is very quiet and provides all the airflow needed to maintain conditions I've (haha, I mean the dude I bought the tent from) pre-set for my tent. Price seems right, I've seen them go for less and more, I don't really know what the difference is in them. ... show more

    • More than anything, it works quietly
When you have to be around a fan for any period of time it can get quite irritating if the sound is loud. White noise is great for sleeping, but when you need to communicate it can't be quite the opposite. This fan does a really good job moving air and does it quietly.

Got this to use in our basement green house for when we start getting the plants ready for the garden in the spring. I finally got to hook this up, and it does exactly what we wanted it to! Easy to connect, the speed controlled works great, and it move more than enough air to get the job done.
