Product Description A high-airflow inline duct filter designed to eliminate odors and chemicals, most used in hydroponics builds, grow rooms, kitchens, smoking areas, and other ventilation projects. Features premium-grade Australian Virgin charcoal bed made up of activated carbon. Its extra-large size enables a greater capacity of the activated carbon to extend its lifespan while maximizing airflow passthrough. The filter can be used in conjunction with an inline duct fan for use in intake and exhaust configurations. Heavy-duty construction contains aluminum flanges and dual-sided stainless-steel mesh. The flanges are built with hooks that can clip into rope hangers to suspend this filter onto grow room support beams. Includes two machine washable pre-filter cloths to prevent carbon residue and two rope clip hangers to suspend the extra-large carbon filter above ground. Premium Grade Carbon Each carbon filter features a premium-grade Australian Virgin charcoal bed rated at 1200+ IAV. It achieves a 38mm charcoal bed thickness and wider mesh openings thanks to its higher microporosity and surface area rating. These factors not only enable a greater adsorption rate without restricting free airflow but also extend the carbon filter’s lifespan by up to 33%. A carbon scrubber designed to trap and eliminate the spread of odors and chemicals for many ventilation projects like hydroponics. If you are producing a closet grow, one surprising output is the pungent smell coming from your grow tent, spreading out in your room as you find yourself in a cloudy and stale space. Using this carbon filter will trap the smell in place so your room feels fresh. Each air filter is made with RC412 pore-sized activated carbon that is highly adsorbable, drawing odor and gaseous compounds to each carbon piece. Features reversible heavy-duty flanges that fit seamlessly over your ducting. Built with hanging hooks for a secure install onto grow room support beams. This carbon filter maximizes airflow while diminishing CFM loss by using galvanized steel mesh that lines the inner chamber and the outer body. Includes two easy-to-wash sleeves that go over the mesh body to prevent carbon residue from building up and keep the air filter clean.

I absolutely love this filter. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I purchased this filter, an 8” fan and the 8” noise reducing collar from AC infinity. I am using it as a freestanding filter and it’s amazing. Even though downstairs my house is a construction zone right now, the air in my bedroom is fresh and clean. It’s like crisp winter air without the sting of cold. I have asthma and other medical problems that are triggered by substances that are hard to avoid (fragrances, disinfectants, laundry additives/softeners, some plastics and packaging, etc). Since I’ve been running this setup my breathing is much easier and I don’t need as much medication to control my symptoms. There are some drawbacks. It’s not cheap. It is big. Your spouse may mock you for buying equipment apparently intended for stealth grow ops. But if you need clean air, it’s worth it 100%. It’s also not offensive to be around. The build quality is great. It’s sturdy and looks high end. Don’t get me wrong, if you turn that fan up to full, you’ll find yourself questioning whether you should have invited a turbine engine into your home. But at any reasonable level (1-4), it moves a lot of air without unpleasant noise. I would highly recommend this setup to anyone who has similar problems. To anyone, really. I've purchased probably every available brand of carbon filter available, and these AC Infinity filters were the absolute first I've ever gotten that weren't covered in excess loose carbon powder. We purchased two 8 inch filters for use as fresh air makeup filters for a commercial cultivation facility. They include a set of ratchet style hangers, velcro straps, and 2 pre-filter sleeves. The sleeves are some of the nicer I've had come with a filter. They fit snug and correctly end to end. The construction of the filter body is durable and well made, and the filter isn't overly heavy. Doesn't work. I connected it with my kitchen hood and the vent stopped working. I think the filter had too densed filtering, so the air couldn't flow. The value is definitly poor... I wonder why it's more expensive than their competitor's on Amazon.

Its a little bit pricey, especially for something that is technically disposable.. but it has been doing a great job scrubbing the air in my room. I'm not using it in a growing room, i'm using it as part of a custom air filter set up (down wind of hepa filters). The hepas were running for a day two without it, and while they did a good job scrubbing the dust, they did nothing for smells. So I got this, and it does an excellent job. Its massive, but it looks just as cool as any other carbon filter. It was as easy to install as any other filter. And it has the added bonus of acting as a muffler to the blower fan. Would buy again, but I hope a figure out a way to refill instead of having to dispose of it.. seems like a waste of quality build. ... show more
