In fact, replacement battery life, 12 cells battery standby time is about 4-5 hours, actual use time is 3-4 hours; 8 or 9 cells battery standby time is about 3-4 hours, actual use time is about 2-3 hours; 6 cells battery standby time is about 2-3 hours, actual use time is about 1-2 hours; 4 cells battery standby time is about 1-2 hours, actual use time is about 1hours. We are a non profit organization. We use a number of the Dell 6400; 6410 series computers. Its VERY IMPORTANT to tell your customers that if they are using this battery with a 65 watt charger the computer will say "battery present but not charging" If you switch to a 90 Watt charger the battery will charge OK but the charger itself will run very hot when used extensively. I recommend 130 watt charger if possible. The Important question to ask or know what wattage charger is being used before ordering this battery for the Dell 6400 series or whatever series this battery is compatible for!! ... show more

    • already toast after minimal usage
I bought this as a backup battery for my laptop. I rarely use the laptop and when i store it in my computer bag i remove the batteries first and the bag is hung from a hook on the wall so i've ruled out anything other than just a defective battery. I charged it up to full capacity once. It sort of travelled with me maybe 4-5 times but wasn't used because I have a high capacity battery as my main one. Well it just so happened that I needed it and i plugged it into my laptop and about an hour later my yellow battery light was flashing and it no longer takes a charge. I don't know how this happens but i wish i wouldnt have spent money on it. I don't know if maybe it got really hot in shipping(i'm in AZ) and maybe that caused a defect or if it came like it from its manufacturer but either way...not thrilled ... show more

Works just as advertised (so far -- still in the first few power cycles), and even the LED battery switch is 'real' (unlike some complaints I've read here on Amazon when it comes to certain off-name batteries for Dell). Currently in a Dell E6500 (which it fits w/o issue) and performing as advertised and expected. ... show more

I have a laptop as a desktop. I found it works best when surrounded by USB amplified ports rather than trying to run off the computer's power: Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with Individual LED Lit Power Switches, Includes 5V/2.5A Power Adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TPMEOYM I started getting popups about "charging" "fully charged". Then I had a power outage. The computer went down in a minute. Time to get a new battery. Wonder of wonders, my internet throughput improved. Apparently the computer's quest to recharge an essentially dead battery was drawing power away from the CPU. I was probably running slower and didn't know it. ... show more

    • Poor performance after less than 3 months of use.
I bought this battery in late December 2019 to rotate with another battery since I frequently drain one battery before I can plug in to recharge. I followed the charging instructions, (drain fully and recharge) to give maximum battery life several times, and then put it into rotation. After only 3 months, this battery is giving me a consistent warning from Windows about "Your battery is fully charged but your long term battery life is decreasing." The other battery (Dell OEM) is still going strong and does not give any warning from Windows. So I am now in the market for another battery. It is installed in a Dell Latitude E6410 Would not recommend and will not buy again. ... show more

I think this is remanufactured battery and no good. Don’t buy it is fake and they don’t honor the warranty. The Amazon is fill safe after return period and don’t care to sale reliable product on their site only making record profit period.

It was cheap enough, and it worked, I cannot tell you about battery life because the computer had issues unrelated to battery.
