I bought this pull double 10 for Muskies and it works great really smooth and has a lot of cranking power, I bought a beast power handle and when I'm not using it to pull double tens,I am pulling small pick up trucks around with it. ha ha. Has fantastic pick up keep those lures from getting Caught in the brush. I would say this is almost a perfect reel feels great in your hand so far has handled everything that I have put on it with ease. The Revo Toro reels are musky and pike reels, but they work great for saltwater as well (assuming you take care to wash them off after use). They can be used for Striper, catfish, snapper, or any larger or more powerful fish. These will also work for bass if you are fishing large trout swimbaits. I have the S, Rocket, and Beast. Purchased reel January 5th to musky fish with. At first i loved it. The speed and Casting distance was great. 2 months later start having issues with it. Started making odd noises while reeling and casting. Today I was adjusting my drag and now it won't tighten past 5 or so pounds

The name says it all. This Beast was a gift to my Son. He has been a round reel Abu guy all his life. I own a 50 and the 60. Far and away, the best reels in the world. My son was skeptical as to how he would transition to the low profile and a other features. We Muskie fish. So, all our gear gets used hard. He has watched me fish low profile Abu reels for the last 4 years without a failure. His comment to me after fishing the Beast was, Dad, that reel is BADASS. I own a Winch 60, an Hs 60, an NACL 60, and 2 Beasts. A 50 and the 60. I cant wait to see what Abu comes up with next. ABU FOR LIFE. ... show more

Bought the fast retrieve model-6.2/1. Loaded it up with 80 lb. test braided line. Mounted it on a Bass Pro 7-1/2' med. heavy musky rod Tied on a 1/2 combination wrench as a practice plug and went out in the back yard to practice. After adjusting the casting control a bit I was casting well over 150'. Got out the 100' tape just to see how close my judgement was. I was casting 165'. I ordered another one used for $212. That's half what Cabelas wants for one. Only thing I don't love about this reel is that the line guide doesn't slide back and forth across the front of the reel during the cast and causes a bit of friction which I feel reduces the distance of the cast a bit. For this reason, I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Other wise, very smooth cast and retrieve. Love the fast retrieve for burning bucktails. ... show more

Bought this $50 cheaper on Amazon compared to Basspro. This is one of my favorite reals. I use it for muskie. It casts great with minimal bird nesting.
