    • Gift for my Brother's 40th.
Style: Ambsx-6601 (Left Hand)
A couple weeks before his birthday his reel on his surf rod clunked out, let's just say the brand of that reel sounds like "PASSING" So his ready to fish rod was out of commission. I got bought him this and it matches his rod color wise. So far I only casted it once and it's smooth as heck! I mean I am sure there are better ones out there but for the price I don't think you can beat the performance. I am used to the smaller low profile bait casters so I can't really say about the feel of this one overall for me it's too big but then again that's because it's my first time using one of these round ones. If you're looking to buy whether it be a temporary skill based or permanent use I say go for it, the price is right and I am sure as hell you probably got a red and black rod and this thing matches it haha ... show more

    • Very good Value. Fun to use.
Style: Ambsx-6600
An excellent casting action. Thumb bar, smooth ant backlash and drag, long casting with 25lb braid. It is really worth the larger handle. Light, good balance, you can feel the quality difference in this reel that has been around for decades, improving steadily. Fair note: No free spool clicker or reverse. The thumb bar is very smooth. ... show more

Got this as a gift from my wife for Christmas. Finally warm enough to get to use it. Take it out of the box to put on rod and go to add line and discover the line minder that goes back and forth is not moving. So the reel cannot be used. Im beyond mad especially since the return window was only till January. ... show more

    • Knock off product
Style: Ambsx-5600
This reel is made in China, and anybody who actually knows about Abu Garcia, knows a REAL Abu Garcia is made in Sweden. As soon as I opened the box I knew it was a knock off. For the price it works OK I guess, could be better though. Like a legit Abu Garcia.
