  • Outstanding Product
I don't usually write reviews on products that I purchase online. I had to make an exception for these Anti-vibration pads. They have more than exceeded my expectations!! Our LG washer is just over a couple of years old and was starting to make alot of racket, we bought this new front loader to get away from our old style, noisy washing machine. I thought I had wasted money getting a front load washer and was seriously considering buying something else. I called LG trying to find out why I was experiencing so much vibration. They asked if I had the washer on any type of pad and I said no. I checked Amazon and found these with a quick search. I hesitated at first due to the price but thought if they worked it would be alot cheaper than a new washer. Boy am I glad that I tried these pads. Now we can barely hear the washer and it stays put now as well. They were easy to install and the results are simply amazing. If your washer is giving you the shake, rattle and roll give it some "Silent Feet", you won't be sorry. ... show more

  • Performs Exactly As Promised
Prior to buying this product, we experienced the same vibration and "walking" problems described in other reviews. It was so bad that we talked to a contractor about ways to anchor/contain the washer to prevent most of the movement. He quoted a couple of expensive options, then suggested that we check the Internet for other solutions. I found Silent Feet on this site and decided to give them a try based on the good reviews and reasonable price. I wasn't disappointed. They have eliminated almost all of the vibration and noise from our front loading washer - to the extent that we can even use the faster spin cycles without fear of the thing taking flight across the room. When I installed them, I outlined the pads with a marker to see how much the machine moved on the tile floor. They have been in place since April and the washer hasn't moved a hair. Silent Feet are absolutely worth the money. And the installation (hate to even use that word since there really isn't any) couldn't be easier. ... show more

  • Greatly Reduced Vibrations But Won't Last Forever
We inherited some fancy-looking but awful LG front-loading machines when we purchased our house. The washing machine in particular would vibrate violently, walk itself across the laundry room floor and crash itself into the dryer on one side and the slop sink on the other side (all of which have battle scars). We put the washing machine on the lowest possible setting for the spin cycle, but it still sounded like it was about to tear the house down. Enter the Silent Feet. Easy to install, and our problem washing machine is probably 75% better -- not perfect. It is bearable now. We still have to leave it on the lowest possible setting for spin cycle, but with the Silent Feet, it has stopped traveling around the laundry room and damaging everything that it comes into contact with. Every once in while, we noticed that the machine had migrated ever so slightly (half an inch maybe), and it was very easy to push it back into place -- it would then stay put for another month or two. The only reason I'm giving this four stars is that the Silent Feet appeared to wear out after slightly over one year of use. We did have to slide the machine in and out quite a few times to vacuum out the dryer vent, clean/repair, etc., so the Silent Feet got a fair amount of use/abuse beyond the normal vibration of the washing machine. Recently, we were unable to properly slide the washing machine back into place. The Silent Feet in the back kept slipping off. I realized that the rubber had started to degrade, and the pad was starting to split/peel horizontally. While it's annoying that the Silent Feet didn't last longer, we did really put them to the test this year, and they performed beautifully. I did not hesitate to order another set of Silent Feet as a replacement, and we'll see how long this next set lasts. They work well enough, that I would begrudgingly buy replacements from time to time, as they're still much cheaper than replacing our washing machine (although I can't wait until the day we get rid of that monstrosity). ... show more

  • Works Great: worth every penny!!
We installed a front loading washing machine on the second floor of out home. Evry time it went into the spin cycle the machine would vibrate like crazy, transferrng the vibration to thejoist the then to the rooms below. It was terrible. Really bad. The machine was balanced, so that was not the problem. I read the reiews of this product and decided to try them. WOW!! They really work well. I would say theyeliminated aout 90% of the vibraion. I mean you still feel some vibration, but no where near what it was. FYI: I used 2-sided tape to install the back feet: Having put the 2 sided tape on each pad, I then tipped the washer forward, and then my son crawled in behind and placed each pad on the washer's leg post, and I then lowered the machine in place. Wprked ike a charm. Bottom line: worth every penny!! ... show more

  • These made my LG vibrate more than before
I am very dissappointed with this produc. First I bought the Kellet pads from Lowes. I noticed they worked quite a bit (did not resolve all vibration though) yet had bad reviews. I thought- ok - silent feet have excellent reviews, so I bet they will work even better! Wow... I was wrong wrong wrong!!! My machine shook tons more with these "feet" than with no pads at all!! I am talking rocking back and forth!! This is a big concern for me because I have neighbors below! I tried adjusting and adjusting my leveling feet and that did not help. It didnt help because that was not the problem - the silent feet were. These pads did nothing but kill my back. I am a small girl... I had to lift the machine at all four corners, remove the Kellet pads, slide the silent feet on, then lift again slide the silent feet off, and the kellet pads back on! Talk about excruciating. I am left exhaused and a little depressed...not just sad, depressed. The great reviews let me to a dud, my back hurts, and my machine still vibrates a bit...boohooo I know but anyway. Save yourself the money! I will be returning these to either Amazon or the manufacturer---whoever will take them! ... show more

  • Solves one problem, but creates another.
The Silent Feet Anti-Vibration Pads claim to "absorb vibrations caused by appliances and limit vibration transmission to the structure of your home." I agree with only the second part of that statement. Since there are literally thousands of different appliance and floor configurations, these feet probably work for some people more than for others. I will describe my specific installation. My comments should be considered valid only for similar installations. I purchased these feet to install under my Maytag Neptune MAH8700 front loading washer. My floor is a raised wood floor, but with a firm framework of wood and steel underneath. Before installing these feet, my washer would spin most loads at full speed (1100 RPM), but the vibration noise would often carry to most areas of our one-story home. Recently, our washer had also starting "walking" ever so slightly (1" or less) with the occasional off-balance load. This may be due to aging rubber on the washer's feet. Maytag front loading washers have a pretty high-tech vibration reduction system built in, including spring mounted weights that vibrate in reverse to the washer's vibration, and a vibration detection system that stops the spin and attempts to readjust the load. It will also slow the maximum speed of a spin if it can't compensate any other way. After installing the feet, the results were immediate and obvious: 1) The washing machine now had about 1/2" more "play room" on each of its four feet. When it went into spin cycle, it shook violently at low speeds. In most cases, the washer would stop, reverse, and tumble the load in an attempt to balance out what it thought was a grossly off-balance load. The washer had no idea that it was on a squishy surface now, and simply did what it was designed to do. It would often have to do this multiple times before it was balanced enough that it could get some sort of spin out of a load. This added about 15 minutes of time to per load. 2) When the washer finally started to spin a load, it never went at full speed anymore, again because it thought that the load was more imbalanced than it really was. 3) During the spin cycle, the machine itself vibrated much more than ever before. This can't be good for the washer. 4) The only positive observation was that, as Vibration Solutions claims, the feet "limit vibration transmission to the structure of your home." It is true that the noise of the spin cycle was greatly reduced in the rest of the house. This one little benefit is not enough to accept the problems, however. Again, if your application is very different from mine, these feet may work well for you. Buying from Amazon is great because, if they do not work for your application, you can still return them. Best of luck! ... show more

  • Quieted the Quakes!
I have balanced my washing machine and yet it still shook bad enough to scare my cat, make my dogs bark and shake my entire house so that it felt like we were suffering a minor earthquake. On top of that, the washer would walk all over the laundry room during the spin cycle. Since I'm the only one in my house that can pull the washer away from facing the wall, and not wanting to continue to damage my floors, much less wake the neighbor's baby, I decided to look for a solution. I did not want to put a giant rug under the washer and dryer, so these anti-vibration pads looked like a good solution. The pads are fairly thick, and raise the height of the washer by about an inch and a half. The were fairly easy to install - I pulled the washer out a bit from the wall and my son climbed behind and placed the rear pads (which will slide on the floor) under the back feet. I then slid the washer back into place and he got the pads under the front feet of the washer. Since installing these pads, the washer has not moved, my pets and the neighbor's baby can sleep, and my wife (who is teaching from home) can conduct her classes in relative quiet! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • What a difference
I have a Kenmore front loading washing machine that I bought about 4 years ago. Like all front loaders, it spins at very high speed to remove excess water from the clothing. For the first three years, the washer sat directly on the tile floor. We are also on an upper floor. The washer sounded like a jet at takeoff during the spin cycle. You could hear and feel it from every room in the apartment. I'm sure our downstairs neighbor was no fan either. With a baby on the way, I realized our laundry needs would increase dramatically and I started searching for a solution to the noise and vibration. I bought these feet. They were easy to install, with two feet designed for easy sliding, and two that are sticky (without adhesive). The jet engine has been reduced to an almost pleasant white noise, and the vibration is gone completely. It's spinning right now and just to be sure, I walked over and put my hand on the tile an inch from the washer. Absolutely no vibration in the floor. Remarkable. ... show more
