I’m using them to troll 360 flashers for salmon, great reels. I got 2 of them to try out to see if I want to replace 8 of my okuma cold water low pros and so far I’m loving them. The only thing I didn’t like was the “weak” drag. I did install the smooth drag carbon fiber disk and put a power handle on them. Still alittle cheaper with the upgrades than the cold waters, and so far I have 15 trips with them and no issues with the counters like I did with the okumas. ... show more

    • Only held up one season of fishing and now won't work. Poor quality construction.

Worked very well at the beginning but failed in less that one season of use on salt water. I routinely rinsed off the salt water after each us but eventually to release mechanism failed. I'm still searching for a viable reel for salt water bottom fishing.

These thing aren't exactly silky smooth and remind me of Shakespeare type quality. For the price, maybe ok. I'll see how time treats them. As far as function, they work. I use them for downrodding, trilling and bottom fishing at night. They count line accurately are simple to use. One plus while night fishing, the backlight acts as a strike indicator. When the spool moves (even with the spool engaged) the light aumatically comes on. ... show more

I was out for a while I tournament 3 days ago when I went to let my line out of my reel for the first time during the winter months and my real would not lock up in real line in all my line went to the bottom of the lake not sure what kind of lube they use but it's not sufficient for cold weather and it cost me a lot of money for the tournament I would not recommend ... show more
